The sound of ringing, or maybe was it the sound of wailing, or the shrilling noise of an alarm clock?

It was all three. [Name] had woken up to her daughter crying, her phone ringing and her alarm clock going off. She hit the snooze button on her clock, answered her phone and stumbled her way into her daughter's room. [S.Name] was there, hanging off the side of the crib, trying to calm the baby down with his off pitched singing.

"[S.Name] honey, what are you doing? Leave your sister alone," the mother grumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"But momma! I was just trying to help!" the little boy pouted, his lower lip sticking out.

"I understand sweetie. Now please go play in your room."

"Okay momma." [S.Name] waddled back to his room, leaving his mother and little sister alone.

[Name] picked up the crying baby, hushing little [D.Name] as she patted her back.

"Hello?" said a voice.

"Huh?" the mother almost forgot that she had answered her phone when she woke up.

"Hey [Name], it's me Kakashi."

"Oh hi Kakashi. I'm sorry I was--"

Kakashi interrupted, "No no. It's okay. You were handling the kids, I understand."

The mother smiled. She felt lucky to have an understanding boyfriend for once.

"Thank you," she replies, truly grateful to have him.

"I heard the little one crying, so I'm going to leave you with your motherly duties. Maybe I'll see you sometime next week?" His voice sounded hopeful.

"You pick the day and I'll schedule a babysitter."

"Is Sunday okay?"

"Yeah, Sunday should be fine."

"I'll see you then."

The phone call ended. [Name] looked down at the child in her arms, sighing softly. The daughter had stopped crying, but her face was still a little scrunched up like she was in deep concentration. The mother knew that face anywhere.

"I'll get the diaper ready," she sighs as she sets the baby back down into her crib and shuffles over to the many stashes of diapers. She grabs a diaper and baby wipes, for the mother already knew that she would be changing a poopy diaper.

[Name] picked up [D.Name] and set her down on the changing table. The little one smiled and giggled.

"Mama poop," [D.Name] giggles, kicking her little chubby legs as her mother strips the child of her pajamas.

"Yes, yes. Mama knows that you pooped."

The mother took off the dirty diaper, wiped her baby's bottom, put on the clean diaper and disposed of the dirty one.

"It's time to get dressed little one," [Name] says to her daughter, placing the little girl down on the floor. She went to the closet taking out two dresses her daughter could wear. She holds them up for [D.Name] to see. "The blue one or the white one?"

"Bwoo," the daughter responded, pointing to the blue dress.

The mother smiled, "Yeah, I like that one too."

[D.Name] helps her mom get her dressed, like putting her arms into the right holes all by herself. After dressing her child, [Name] let her daughter play with her little blocks and colorful light up toys.

"[S.Name], are you dressed?" [Name] asked her son while moving to the kitchen to make breakfast.

"Yes momma!" her son yelled out proudly, as he waddled into the kitchen. He wore his favorite green T-shirt with a shark on it and dark blue shorts. [Name] didn't have a problem with what he wore; she had a problem with how he put it on though. His shirt was inside out and backwards, his shorts weren't buttoned and unzipped, and he had one pink sock and one yellow sock on. He looked like a mess. But he was her little mess.

She chuckled to herself. "Oh dear. Today is going to be a long day."

...

"Doctor Hatake, your patient is waiting for you," the assistant informs Kakashi.

"Thank you Shizune," he nods towards her and enters room 302.

"How are you feeling today Mr. Uchiha?" Kakashi smiled from under his surgical mask as he sets a chair next to his patient. His face was all bandaged up from the accident.

"Skip the formalities Kakashi. We've been friends for almost are whole lives," the patient responds.

Kakashi chuckles, "My apologies, Obito."

Silence, and then that dreaded question again.

"How are you feeling?"

"My face hurts," the man named Obito whined.

"I told you rock climbing was dangerous," Kakashi shook his head.

"I knew I had a chance of falling but I didn't know a boulder would fall on me!" he exclaimed, wincing in pain as he did so.

Kakashi noticed this and asked, "Would you like some more pain medication?"

"Yes please!" Obito whined miserably.

"You're lucky you're still alive Mr. Uchiha," Kakashi stood from his seat, exiting the room right as the patient scoffed out his response.

"Yeah, yeah whatever!" Kakashi heard him say.

I'm glad you're still alive Obito...
