"Kakashi," [Name] says his name with a hint of weariness. She's tired of hearing about Konan. The sound of the woman's name exhausts [Name] beyond her limits. "Kakashi, I-"
He interrupts her with his own question. "Are you mad at me?"
"No, I'm not mad at you," [Name] says quickly as she clutches the hem of her shirt. "I could never be mad at you." Her whole body slouches forward. Her elbows rest on her knees as she sighs. "I'm mad at myself for not being there for you, I'm mad that Konan tried to ruin another relationship, I'm mad that she found you. Oh god, how did she find you?"
Fresh, hot tears stream down her face, but she hastily wipes them away. Her voice wavers as she continues, "I'm mad that you had to go through all of that, I'm mad that I can't just be happy without Konan coming in to destroy anything positive in my life."
She turns to Kakashi and takes both of his hands into her own. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I'm sorry, I really am."
"It's not your fault," Kakashi says, finding comfort in the warmth of her hands. "If anything it's, it's all my fault."
"No! Do not blame yourself," she defends angrily. "She took advantage of your kindness and defiled you. I can't believe she would stoop so low. She's such a miserable bitch."
The pure anger that grows in her core dissipates once she looks into Kakashi's kind eyes. Those are the same eyes she fell in love with; and by looking into those grey pools, she wants to cry all over again.
She pulls him into a hug and sobs. "I could never be mad at you. You've never done anything wrong. You're a good man that's treated me right. You have a good heart Kakashi and I love you."
Kakashi can feel her tears soaking into his shirt as she cries on his shoulder. Although she may be crying, relief spreads throughout his chest and he can't help but smile. How could he be so foolish to think that the woman he loves would leave him over something like this?
"I love you too."
Kakashi feels lucky. He was afraid that [Name] wouldn't want to touch him anymore, or wouldn't be able to look at him the same. He was even afraid that she'll think of him as less of a man. But no. [Name] is understanding and full of unconditional love. He doesn't deserve her and he knows this.
His arms squeeze her tight into the hug, wanting her closer than ever. He loves her and doesn't want to love anyone else for as long as he lives. She warmed his cold heart, turning his usual apathetic nature into an active lover that cares way too much. He'd be lost without her.
"I'm so blessed to have you," Kakashi says in her ear. "I don't know what I'd do without you."
[Name] sniffs and chuckles. "You've become more affectionate since I've met you. Old Kakashi would never hug me like this."
"Old Kakashi was stupid and wouldn't have given you the love you deserve," he explains as he pulls away from the long embrace. "New Kakashi wants to cherish you forever and always."
"Can new Kakashi also stop wearing this silly mask?" [Name] jokes, pulling the mask that currently hangs around his neck. He takes her hand into his own, squeezing slightly.
"I will do anything you ask me to do, my love."
...
A/N: This was really short (literally half of my normal chapter), but I wanted to get this scene done and over with. And since there's no longer a conflict, I believe this story has come to an end. Love ya, bye bye!
