Chapter Three

Xander's POV:

I turned around to see my annoying younger sister Bethany. I said " What do you want Bethany?" She looked at me shocked and said " You didn't think that I would find out that you found your mate did you?" I replied saying " Yes I did find my mate but she's in a bad condition right now" Bethany had a sympathetic look on her face and said " Aww I'm so sorry to hear that, whats wrong with her?" I answered " She's been badly beaten and she seems traumatized, but I plan to figure out who did this to her".

Bethany gasped then walked over and wrapped her arms around me. I hugged her back and was secretly glad that I had a younger like Bethany. Bethany and I parted ways and I went back to the doctors office where Lucy should be finished taking care of Angeline by now.

I walked through the doors and saw Angeline sleeping on the bed and Lucy typing something on the computer. She looked up at me and said " Hello Alpha, Angeline is all taken care of now, all I have to do is to finish her file and then you can take her home,but I warn you she may not get used to you for a while so take it slow " I replied " Okay I kinda knew that, that was coming".

I went over and sat down beside her, I brushed a curl off her face and wondered if she would ever love me like I love her. I don't even know her very well and I am already willing to give my life for her. I saw her starting to wake up so I picked her up bridal style and asked Lucy " Can I take her home now?". Lucy nodded, but then said " remember what I told you Alpha" I nodded and walked out the door with Angeline in my arms. When I got to the house I went to my room and layed her down on my bed. I pulled the blankets over her and then kissed her forehead, then left down to the kitchen to make lunch. I wanted to eat with Angeline so that I could get to know her.

Angeline's POV:

My eyes fluttered open and I sat up putting a hand on my head. My head hurt so bad, I looked around and realized that I wasn't in my room. This room was definitely a guys room, everything about it screamed masculinity. It had red curtains and the walls were red and black. The duvet that I was under was a blood red and the sheets were black and the bed frame was black with blood red roses with black vines were wrapped around the four bed posts. The closet door was a gold color and there was a big flat screen T.V. on the wall. What I'm guessing was the bathroom door was white.

I got up slowly and looked down to see that I was wearing a pair of soft black short shorts and a pink long sleeve shirt. The sleeves were so long that they ended just above my knuckles so I'm guessing that a girl older than me gave me her clothes when I was asleep. I padded over to the door and opened it as quietly as possible and went down the staircase. I peeked around the corner and saw a tall, handsome man with bronze hair and green eyes. He was getting ingredients for some sort of dinner. I tried to take a step foward, becoming curious about this handsome stranger, then the bottom stair creaked really loudly. The man grabbed a skillet off of the stove and walked slowly over to where I was hiding .

He turned the corner and I scooted backwards, not wanting to be hit with the skillet. He looked at me with a hostile expression, then his face softened and he put the skillet down on the floor beside him and he said " Hey Angeline, remember me , I'm Xander" I nodded then said "Y-your not going to h-hit me with that s-skillet are you?" He shook his head and chuckled then said " Of course not, why would I hit my mate upside the head with a kitchen utensil" I looked at him, shocked and whispered " I-I'm your m-mate", He said in a soft voice "Yes you are and I will protect you and love you forever, I just have to get you to trust me first"

I knew that he was my mate and I knew that he would never hurt me. I stood up slowly and walked over to him then wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tight. He stiffened then wrapped his arms around me, ever since I was little I had always wondered what it was like having a mate who would love you and protect you no matter what. Now I get to find out.
