What it Means by Whispers

Your world is spinning so damn fast,
But I'm stuck right here; standing still.
You say you understand the struggling tasks,
But this is my own, poetic, dystopian hell.
Do you know what it's like, or see it,
For these people who are just like me?
I find comfort and a semblance of relief,
In someone who should've been the enemy.
It's almost like being constantly homesick,
I can't sate this ever quenching thirst I feel.
Your words are like a spiked ice pick,
Picking away at what I feel could be real.
A small bird and it's shattered little wing,
Too full of self hate to try to fly again.
To no longer soar high above those strings,
How does one forgive oneself for such sin?
The noise within my mind is constant static,
I'm unable to break free of the cage it brings.
Until I allow myself to not be so stoic,
Tear off the facade and break these seams.
Not a moment passes I don't feel obsolete,
Compared to people like you who judge.
I'm not here to gain your idea of "complete",
I'm just passing along, as onward, I drudge.
You want to know just what it means,
To be someone who's as indifferent as I?
Can you handle the truth those words bring,
Or will you find another reason to pick and lie?
It doesn't matter what you do, though,
Because you can't understand people like I.
You won't open your mind to what it doesn't know,
So, you'll just continue to judge as we go by.
And, that's alright to be who you are.
I won't judge your simple indifference to me.
You've got your own, and I've got my own, scars.
I just don't let my scars, from you, define me.
So, it's best to let it go while you can.
I'm not here to beg forgiveness time and again.
You need to learn to offer your own hand,
Because you don't know what we hold in.
