(Your pov)
You were running. Bullets were flying. You got cornered in the middle of this place called terminus.
"Alright. Here's how this is gonna go. Your going to go in that train car over there in the order that I tell you. Got it?" The guy, who we earlier learned name was Gareth, said from a roof top. "Okay. Put your weapons down." He adds.
You all lay your weapons down on the ground very slowly. Carl took your hand in his and intertwined your fingers.
To say you were scared was an understatement. You were absolutely horrified.
"It's going to be ok. Everything will be fine. I love you." Carl whispers to where only you could hear.
"That doesn't really help me, Carl, but I love you too." You whisper back.
"Ok. First, the leader." Gareth says and Rick goes to the door of the train car.
"Then, the archer." Gareth says and Daryl walks over behind Rick.
"Then, the samurai." He says and Michonne walks behind Daryl.
"Now, open the door and go in." Gareth says and Carl squeezes you hand.
"My son!" Rick yells, asking for his son to be able to follow.
"Go on kid." Gareth says. Carl pulls on my hand for me to follow but Gareth adds, "Not the girl!"
"I'm not leaving without her!" Carl yells. I looked over and saw the horror on Rick's face.
"It's ok. I'll be ok. Go on." You whisper to Carl.
Carl looked like he was struggling with himself. He wanted to keep you safe but he wanted to be with his dad.
"Go." You whispered again. Carl hesitates but walks to where Rick, Daryl, and Michonne are.
You look up and make eye contact with Gareth to try to convince him you weren't afraid of him. But the truth was, was that you were terrified.
"Open the door and go inside the car." Gareth directs.
Rick opens the door and pushes Carl inside. He follows after giving you a nod. Daryl follows Rick but gives you a sympathetic look before he is out of sight. Michonne looks sorry for you but she soon follows suit.
"Go on girl." Gareth says and you slowly walk to the car.
You hear a gun shot and look down at your stomach. There was crimson red liquid coming out of your abdomen and staining your shirt.
You hold your breath and walk into the train car. You had hooked a knife with your boot before you left the middle of terminus.
When you got in the door shut and you fell to your knees. Soon enough Carl was beside you.
"What happened? I heard a gun shot. Did they shoot you?" Carl rambled.
"I grabbed a knife....Hooked it with my boot. Then they shot me." You say and press your hand on your stomach to stop the bleeding.
"You never cease to amaze me." Carl says with tears in his eyes.
"And I won't. I won't stop ceasing the amaze you. I'm gonna make it. I'm gonna fight. I don't give up that easy." You reassure him.
"Dad, do something." Carl pleads.
"He can't. Nobody can." You tells him, wiping his tears away.
He lays you against the wall of the train car and lies next to you. He leans your head on his shoulder and his head on top of yours.
He grabs your hand and hugs you close. "I'm gonna make it." Was the last thing you said before everything went black....
