(Your pov)
When you all made it back to Alexandria, you never wanted to go on a run again.
"Are you ok?" Maggie asks as she comes up next to you.
"No. She's not. (Y/n) go get some rest." Carl cuts in.
"Carl-" you say but he cuts you off by saying, "Go. I'll be there in a minute. We need to talk."
Maggie gave you a sympathetic look and walked away. You go to your house and lay on your bed.
You let a sigh except your lips and the door opens. You don't bother looking up you know it's probably Carl.
"Hey." Carl's says from his spot at the door.
"Hi." You say and sit up to look at him.
He walks over to the bed and sits next to you. "I'm not mad." He says, looking at his hands.
"You told me."
"I know."
"Are you scared? Cause I know I am."
"Yeah. I am. I'm afraid I'll loose you. Just like I did my mom."
"Funny how we're afraid of the same things."
"Yeah. I guess so. So I'm gonna be a dad?"
"Yeah. And I'm gonna be a mom."
You place your hand on your stomach and smile. Carl looks at you and you look right back at him.
"I love you." He says softly and places his hand on your stomach. "And I will love this baby." He adds.
"I love you too." You sigh and add, "I need a shower. I'll be out in a minute."
He smiles and says, "Ok but take too long cause we have to talk about names."
You smile at his enthusiasm and get up to take a shower.
*9 months later*
The baby is due any day now. Your super excited but at the same time extremely afraid.
Your waddling down the hall downstairs when a sharp pain runs through your stomach.
You brush it off and go outside for some fresh air. When you get outside you get another sharp pain.
You grab your stomach and wish the pain away. Maggie comes over and asks, "Does it hurt?"
You nod your head to the best of your ability and say, "Contractions?"
"Unfortunately. How far apart are they?" She asks.
"I had one when I was walking down the hall and then another just now."
"The baby's coming. Come with me." She says and leads you to the infirmary.
"Lie down. I'll get Glenn to get Carl." She says and you nod your head and follow her orders.
Another pain flows through your stomach. Maggie comes into the room and says, "Carl's coming. Don't worry."
Soon after Carl walks through the door. Yet another pain, worse that the others, goes through your stomach, making you scream out in pain.
"Breath." Maggie says calmly. "It's gonna hurt like a bitch." She adds.
"Thanks for that." You say through your teeth.
Carl holds your hand. "It's time." Maggie says after you scream again in pain again.
"Push when I say to, ok?" She says calmly. You nod and take a deep breath.
"Ok. Push." Maggie says and you push.
*a few pushes later*
Cries filled the air and you smiled. "It's a boy." Maggie says happily. "Wait, you need to push again." She adds.
You groan and push. It doesn't hurt as bad but it is still very painful.
*more pushing* (lol. Idk I don't wanna right that)
More cries filled the air and Maggie says, "It's a girl."
You sigh and Carl kisses your forehead. "What do you want to name him?" Maggie asks, holding your baby boy.
"Joshua Levi." You answer.
"What about her?" Maggie says motioning toward Carl with your baby girl in his arms.
"Cecilia Grace." You answer.
"Here." She says and hands Joshua to you.
"He has Carl's eyes... Or lack of eye. I'm confused on what to say." You laugh at Maggie's comment. Carl just faked a glare.
"I'm going to get Daryl and Rick." Maggie says and leaves the infirmary.
"I will not be doing that again by the way." You say with a slight laugh. Carl chuckles and says, "One word. Protection."
"Yeah. Damn right." You say and sigh. "But I'm glad it happened." You add with a smile.
"Me too." Carl says and walks over to you. "You used the names I suggested." He adds.
"Because I love you and they were good names." You say with a slight chuckle.
