Chapter 23 part 2

DAN POV

I turned and ran; I raced down the street with tears in my eyes. I need to get away from this place completely, I can't go back to the hut. I need to leave this town.

PHIL POV

Someone knocked on the door. I wonder if it's Dan, if he is coming back. I opened the door slowly looking for that familiar brown hair that I love so much but I was greeted with curly brown hair unlike Dan's.

"Hi!" a cheery Pj exclaimed.

"Peej! Hi!" I said with a hint of sadness in my voice. "Come inside out of the cold."

Pj came inside and took his coat off. I was about to put it on a coat hanger but Pj grabbed me and kissed me passionately, I dropped the coat and he pushed me towards a wall and snaked his hands up my shirt. He pulled it off over my head and pinned my arms to the wall.

I heard something fall to the floor and I tore away from Pj to see what it was. The door was now open all the way and a poorly wrapped package with Dan's handwriting on sat there. 

Oh no, Dan!

I ran out of my house leaving a startled Pj standing there.  I ran down the street as fast as my legs would take me, I hope I can find Dan soon. I miss him, I need him.

DAN POV

I'm running as fast I can in the opposite direction to where I was last time, I'm going to make a new me with a better life.

I reached a field and jumped over the gate like a professional sport person. I reached a tree in the abandoned field and I sat down to catch my breath and actually think about what I'm doing. This is a bad idea, isn't it? I can't go back now I need to go on ahead.

I stood back up and made my way out of the field and into a new life.
