"Antony, please try to get through to her." Olivette pleaded with her husband.
"Olive," he said affectionately, "our daughter is fine. She's just a free spirit much like her mother if I remember correctly."
"Oh I was never that bad."
"No? You were much worse. It's a wonder your mother managed to keep her sanity." He laughed loudly.
"Just talk to her. The girl won't listen to a word I say."
"Of course, Olive."
"I mean she will never be suitable for a nice boy if she continues to behave like this. Who would want to deal with that?" Olivette fussed as she placed a bowl of porridge in front of her husband.
"What are you suggesting? We agreed that we would let our children choose. Fortunately things worked out well for us, but don't you remember how angry you were when your parents introduced you to me?" Antony reminded her.
Olivette sighed. She remembered all too well how she felt about being forced into a marriage with someone she hardly knew for the sake of the wolves as a whole.
"You're right," Olivette placed a hand over her husband's.
"She's be fine. All of them will be." Antony quieted her fears as he brushed a lock of hair from her face. Olivette smiled lovingly at him.
"Morning mother," Imee said as she entered the dining area.
"Imee." Antony surprised her.
"Father!" Imee shouted joyfully as she ran into his arms. Antony stood just in time and held onto her tightly.
"I've missed you." She whispered. Antony and other members of their pack had been away for weeks. Imee didn't know all the details only that it was for the sake of protecting them all. She could only wonder what that truly meant.
"I've missed you too my sweet girl." Antony placed a kiss on the top of her head.
"Are you back for good?" Imee asked hopefully.
"Well for a bit." He replied. Imee walked back to her seat and her mother placed a bowl of porridge in front of her as well.
"Is Lillis awake?" Olivette asked, taking a seat herself.
"No," Imee answered.
"Oh, that girl..." Olivette shook her head.
"Imee, your mother tells me you haven't been on your best behavior. You have to mind your mother dear." Antony told his eldest sternly.
Imee exhaled and looked straight ahead at her father.
"Yes father. You both have my sincerest apologies." She lied.
"Very well," He accepted. They all ate in silence until Lillis and Ferris came hurrying into the room.
"Sorry!" Lillis shouted as she took her seat. "I must have been in a deep slumber."
"Hello to you too." Antony spoke to his younger children.
"Father!" They called out in unison and ran to hug him. Unlike before, he remained seated and pulled his children into his arms.
"I've missed you all too, but please sit and eat. Ferris you especially; we will begin your training today." He said with a wink.
"Truthfully father?" Ferris asked with bright eyes.
"Yes my son." Antony said.
Lillis and Ferris sat down and Olivette passed them their bowls of porridge.
