**A/N: Hey, so I know this is probably not your typical ending with so much dialogue between characters, but I wanted to include some type of closure with her family and the other pack**

Patrick opened his eyes to Imee lying across from him. He caressed her cheek as she slept which caused her to stir.

"Patrick?" She murmured.

"I didn't mean to wake you." He apologized.

"It's okay," She opened her eyes to look at him. Gently moving closer to him, she placed an arm around him.

"That doesn't hurt, does it?" She asked watching for any sign of pain.

"No," He lied. It hurt, but he wanted her close to him. He'd gladly bear the pain.

"You're a terrible liar." She smirked, but didn't withdraw her arm.

"Imee," He called out.

"Hmm?"

"I've been thinking..."

"About?"

"Your family."

The mention of them caused Imee to tense up.

"What of them?" She asked slowly.

"Well don't you miss them? Don't you want to see them?" He asked.

"No," She replied.

"Not even Lillis and Farris?"

He got her there. She had yearned to see her siblings, but not her parents. She knew it'd be impossible to avoid them though.

"I can come with you." He suggested.

"You're still recovering." She dismissed.

"I can handle it." He replied.

"Are you sure?" She glanced into his eyes.

"Absolutely positive," He placed a kiss on her nose.

Slowly Imee and Patrick made the journey back to her side of the Enchanted Forest. Patrick often had to stop and rest, but he insisted on continuing on. Imee would have preferred him recuperating back at home, but she was grateful to have him by her side. She knew she couldn't face her family alone.

They reached the outer gate and Patrick nudged her forward.

"I'll wait here." He said as he placed a hand against the gate for support.

"Will you be okay?" Imee worried.

"I'll be fine." He smiled.

She smiled back before turning to enter.

Her childhood home came into view and she saw someone sweeping as she walked forward.

She assumed it was her mother and her stomach knotted up.

She didn't want to see her.

Debating on continuing ahead or turning around, Imee paused.

The figure stopped sweeping and turned around.

To her relief, it wasn't her mother. It was Lillis.

"Lil!" Imee shouted with joy.

"Imee!" Lillis dropped the broom and ran towards her sister.

"I've missed you." They both cried out in each other's arms.

They embraced one another tightly.

"Where have you been, are you okay?" Lillis asked once they broke from their hug.

"I'm okay. How are you?" Imee asked looking her younger sister over.

"I've been worried about you. Did you know Fenris and his men were killed? It was awful. Father told us. We feared they had taken you when you left. Why did you leave?"

Imee lowered her eyes to the ground. She didn't want to taint Lillis's view of their parents. Honestly, she wished she could see them the same way she did herself, but that was impossible after what they had done.

"I had to." Imee simply said.

Lillis didn't press on and nodded.

"Where's our little brother?" Imee asked.

"He's off with father training. They still think some of Fenris's men might pick up the torch and go on with the war."

"They won't." Imee stated.

"How do you know?"

"I just do." Imee smiled at her. Adolpha had taken over as Alpha. The pack regarded her with suspicion, but no one else wanted to take up the title after Fenris. Adolpha was good for the pack. She brought about much needed change. She continued training her girls and a few others joined them. The men even offered to help her and the young boys sought to be trained under Adolpha's leadership as well.

She hoped that the other packs would follow suit and move away from the outdated traditions of the wolves.

"Mother has been dying to see you." Lillis grabbed her hand, but Imee refused to be pulled forward.

"No," Imee shook her head.

"What?"

"I only came to see you and Ferris." Imee told her.

"But mother misses you..." Lillis pleaded on Olivette's behalf.

"I said no, Lillis. I must be on my way but I'll return to see Ferris okay? Give him my love." Imee hugged her sister once more before she departed.

Lillis watched her walk away in silence and uncertainty. She turned to look back at the house to see Olivette gazing out the window with teary eyes.

What had happened? Lillis wondered.

"Are you alright?" Patrick asked once Imee returned.

"Yes," Imee reached for Patrick's hand.

"Good," He said.

They began their journey back home.

"Thank you,"

"I didn't do anything." Patrick shrugged.

"You've done more than you'll ever know." Imee whispered. Patrick hadn't just been the stranger who gave her a blanket when she was crawling about naked in the grass. He protected her multiple times. He risked his life for her. He supported her and most of all he loved her.

"Let's get back home." Imee kissed his cheek.

Home Patrick thought happily. He loved that she referred to his place as her own.

Slowly they made their way back to the small house in the woods. Patrick looked over at Imee before they went inside. He loved her more than words could ever describe. He lived his whole life under the rule of Bossy before he had met her. His life was a routine; one she changed when he spoke with her for the first time.

He now had a reason to get up each and every day. His smile had a purpose. It was all because of the werewolf who turned his life upside down one fateful evening.

He smiled as she caught him looking at her.

"What is it?" She blushed.

"I'm Happy," He said.
