True to their word, Watchy and Happy escorted Imee to her old training grounds. Imee quickly spotted Adolpha. The older woman was retreating inside the small hut which caused Imee to hurry to catch up with her.
"Adolpha!"
Turning sharply on her heels, Adolpha looked down at Imee. She stood straight with her eyes scanning all around them. They were always watching and waiting for the unexpected.
"Chann,"
"I, we, need your help." Imee looked back at Watchy and Happy who had stopped to put some distance between them. This was mainly so they could watch the area, but they were also weary of Adolpha.
"Go on," Adolpha motioned for Imee to continue.
Imee informed Adolpha of everything from her father's plan to end the war to her own plan of attacking Fenris and his men.
When she was done, the older wolf laughed.
Imee furrowed her brows. Had she said something funny? Was this truly foolish?
Imee shook her head and was preparing to leave when Adolpha's laughter came to an end.
"I knew there was a fire in you." She pointed her finger at Imee. "Yes, I could see it the first time we met."
"I don't have much time, Ado—Ma'am. We could really use your help." Imee pleaded.
The longer she stayed out in the open, the more she risked being caught.
"Come inside. You both too," Adolpha held the door for them.
With a low sigh, Imee walked inside. She had never been inside the hut before so she didn't know what to expect.
The smell of fresh flowers and herbs hit Imee's nose first. She never thought Adolpha would be the type to pick flowers. It seemed to go against her harsh nature.
Adolpha directed them to a small sitting area that consisted of four pillows surrounding an empty table.
"I meditate here." Adolpha explained as she waited for them to sit.
Watchy and Happy's axes made a clinking noise as they placed their weapons on the ground and took their seats. Imee sat down as well.
"Fenris and his men won't go down without a fight." Adolpha stated as she poured herself a cup tea.
"I assumed as much. Maybe we don't need to take out all of his men, only those truly loyal to him." Imee replied.
"And just how will we know who's for him and who's merely following him out of fear?" Adolpha questioned.
Imee didn't have an answer for that. She wished they had someone on the inside, but she knew no one from Fenris's pack.
"Perhaps I could help..." They all turned to the direction of the new voice.
Imee recognized her as one of the girls she trained with; behind her stood the other three.
Her nickname failed to come to Imee's memory, but she remembered her introducing herself as Tanya.
"I am from the pack." Tanya said softly as she walked closer to them.
Imee quickly grew alarmed. Had she unknowingly walked into a trap? Were all of the girls secretly working for Fenris?
She stood on shaky legs and Patrick followed suit.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he moved to stand in front of her.
