Dear Journal,

Hey...It seems that Takumi and I are already in some big trouble. It's our first night on the run and we've already been caught. Once it gets dark the world changes. We left at sunset and about 2 hours and 15 miles from where we started we realized we had been followed. It hit us when we heard the rolling of wheels behind us. Our first thought, a car. But it wasn't a car. Nor was it a bike or anything that a human rides in. It was a robot. A small robot that was painted black with green eye like lights. At first glance I thought it was adorable. BAD DECISION. This little robot was the scariest thing I've ever seen! Of course I haven't seen much though due to our little sheltering chips. At first I went to go see what the little robot wanted but as soon as I approached the robot grew like 10 TIMES BIGGER! It had giant pointy metal teeth-like things in it's mouth and connected to each of it's fingers were knives that clinked and scratched at each other making a noise that made you shiver. It came at me at full speed. I swear I saw my life flash before my eyes! Luckily I had my trusty buddy Sparky there to protect me. Guess robots don't like when they're shocked with over 5000 watts of electricity. Opps. Thanks Takumi. We continued on for a bit but only about a mile away we turned and saw an AMRY of the robots. THEY MULTIPLIED!!! OK. Maybe they didn't multiply. But a bunch of them did come out of no where. From every connecting street or back alley they had crawled out. We were screwed. Dead. That's all I could think. WE WERE DEAD MEAT. I don't think I've ever ran that fast. Seriously, if you wanna break a record or pass the mile in gym class JUST GET A BUNCH OF THESE ROBOTS TO CHASE YOU, you'll run faster than you even knew possible. Anyway, back to the point, now Takumi and I are taking cover in an abandoned building. The building seems to be an old recording studio or radio station. Dunno. Pretty cool though, right? Reminds me of a batcave type thing. It's AWESOME! Anyway I guess I'll leave it off here.

See Ya,

Yuuki Sakamoto

As Takumi and I sit in the pitch dark radio station I catch my breath. We were sitting against the wall of what seemed to be a recording room and we were super close, almost too close to be comfortable. Both of us were out of breath and had no idea what to do. "It looks like we're safe for now" I say as I lean against Takumi just a little. We had been sitting here for about 15 minutes. During that time Takumi sat holding a small flashlight while I updated my journal. For some reason he was totally into me writing a journal. Something about "If we ever become famous for saving the world that journal will be worth millions! Even if we're dead! Even if we don't save the world!" I thought it was stupid, but it lets me remember what was going on and I thought that maybe when I was an adult I'd like to read it and look back on my past and how I was back then. I scribble the last few words "See ya, Yuuki Sakamoto" and put my pen back into my backpack and close the journal. "Alright. Done...Wanna look around?" I ask as I stand up taking out my own flashlight and press it on. The dim light revealed chairs that had been knocked over, papers littering the floors. forgotten mugs, microphones and recording equipment and cds all over the floor.

"Yeah...come on. Let's check this place out" Takumi says as he walks over to one of the desks putting his index finger on a stack of dusty CDs. He smirks and looks at me his yellow eyes glowing from the flashlight. "Yuuki, I have an idea. It'll be fun."

"Hm? What is it?" I ask curiously as I knelt down and picked up the papers which had odd letters scribbled onto it in black ink. "It's a different language." I whisper under my breath as I get back onto my feet.

"Why don't we listen to this music. Maybe it'll be a hint." Without waiting for an answer Takumi takes a CD out of it's case and puts it on a small CD player and turns the volume. My eyes widen as I take a few step towards him shaking my head no.

"No way! It'll give us away!" I say in a hushed tone but it was too late. The music was already playing a song. "Takumi! Turn it off! It'll get us in trouble-" I yell in a panic as I hear something nearby shatter. I turn quickly only to see Takumi looking down at the ground where a vase was shattered.

"I didn't do it." Takumi says looking up at me. I roll my eyes and walk over and start picking up the pieces of glass.

"Yea yeah. I'm convinced." I say obviously annoyed as I stand up and pull the plug out of the CD player, the music stopping playing abruptly. That was when we heard it. It was quiet and hard to hear but every once and a while you could hear the click of a heel hitting the ground with each step. Takumi looks at me his eyes widening.

"You hear that too...right?" He asks as I nod. "I think we've got company. He takes out his flashlight and turns it off quickly looking at me implying for me to do the same. I put my hand on the button and click it quickly the button as the light went out leaving us surrounded by darkness. I look towards the entrance as the foot steps got louder as I feel a hand tighten around my wrist and pull me into black.
