((Author Note: This chapter is back in present day. It is back in Yuuki's view as usual. Sorry if it's a bit confusing later because I'll be switching between flashbacks and the present. Italics means past, thoughts, or writing mainly in my writing. I will tend to specify whether it is the past as well. ))

Dear Journal,

The past few days have been crazy. I don't even know where to start. Training went well yesterday but it it got more crazy when we were attacked. Haru and I were attacked by a young girl who belongs to a family in the government. She was strong but we were lucky enough to overpower her. We took her hostage and she will now be part of our group. Her name is Akane Kuro and she isn't the most open. Her powers are interesting but she won't tell us anything about her. She is a necromancer, which I think is super cool but a little dark and scary...oh well. I don't think she is a bad person. When we were heading back to base there was a lot of drama and now Maru and Kazuto are fighting. Maru hasn't said much since she got back and she seems really upset....I wonder why. No one will tell us anything. Kazuto left earlier this morning and no one knows where he went but I have a bad feeling about this. We're going to go get him soon. I hope he's okay. Well we should get going now. See ya!

We had awoken that morning too find only five of us in the base. Maru was still out of it but she was much better than the day earlier. I let out a sigh and let myself fall back onto the cot, pushing my notebook away from me.

"We should go, Yuuki.", Haru said as he stood up from his cot. His hair was messy and he was wearing his black shirt that said "Rocky Horror Picture Show" with a mouth on it. I pushed myself up and stretched my hands over my head groaning. "Aw come on, it isn't a punishment. He's part of the group.", Haru scolded as he crossed his arms.

"I know I know.", I sighed, as I walked over to grab my bag and go and get changed. Closing the door behind me and pulled out a white shirt that had four different wands on it and said "The wand chooses the wizard." in a large font. I pulled on a pair of skinny jeans and put the shirt on before walking out and lacing up my converse.

"The geek is too weak.", Ayumi teased as she messed my white hair up and laughed thinking that we were just rhyming because of my shirt.

"Oh shush.", I laughed, pushing past her towards Haru. Maru had changed into a t-shirt that was pretty worn out but wasn't bad. It was the same shirt Maru had worn when she was younger, now that she was older it actually fit her but it was faded and looked fairly old. "That girl kinda looks like you.", I said pointing to the girl with light blue hair with a smile. Maru seemed to like my comment because her eyes lit up and she smiled at me and nodded. The girl named Akane was still asleep on a cot in the corner. "Hey wake up, comrade! Time for your first mission!", I yelled as I shook the bed. Groaning in complaint, she turned over and sat up.

"Five more minutes....", she complained pulling the blanket over her head.

"No. Now.", I said stubbornly pulling at her blanket.

"Oh let her sleep a bit more. We still have to eat anyway. Worst comes to worst we have her eat on the way there.", Haru reasoned.

"Godddddddddd you're such a stump.", I complained.

"I am not a stump. I'm just nicer than you.", he replied.

I cut my eyes towards him and glared at him madly. Meanwhile Maru and Ayumi were watching as they whispered to eachother. "They're like an old married couple when they bicker like this.", Maru teased as Ayumi laughed.
