A Picnic Under The Stars

I went to my house and right when I closed the door, my three best friends stood there with smiling faces. Miley said, "So, Abby, you were gone for awhile."

All three of them started giggling, but when I turned around and faced them, they stopped completely. Angel said, "Abby, what's wrong?"

I than explained about Ponyboy and Cherry, running past the DX, Johnny and I, and me and Ponyboy just now.

They pulled me in a group hug. Sarah said, "Don't worry about him, Abby, he doesn't deserve your tears."

I said, "I tried to be strong just like my mom and dad taught me, but I just couldn't. I don't know what's gonna happen now. What about the gang?"

Miley said, "Don't worry about them you have us, and we'll be here for you no matter what." I smiled and said, "Thanks guys."

We stayed inside all day, and they even slept over. Miley practically lives here now. Her family abuses her like Johnny, so she lives with me now.

When they were all asleep, I went up to my bedroom thinking everything will be alright. My thoughts got interrupted at someone throwing rocks at my window.

I opened it and saw Ponyboy standing there. He said, "Hey Abby, can you come out here." I closed my window, walked down stairs, and out the back door.

I saw him standing there and I said, "What is it? I'm trying to get some sleep." He said, "Sorry, but I have a huge surprise for you."

I said, "If Cherry was involved I think I'll pass." He grabbed my hand and said, "No, now follow me." I trusted him and said, "Ok."

I don't know if we're still friends or not, but he was happy to see me so I should at least try and be happy back. He took me to the lot.

The tree was decorated with lights and rose petals were on the ground it was beautiful. I gasped at the sight and said, "Ponyboy, I love it!"

He said, "Good...come here." I followed him over to the lit up tree. He had a picnic basket with tons of different foods. I said, "A picnic?"

He said, "Yep, to show you how much you mean to me, will you go on...this date with me?" I smiled and said, "Of course." He smiled and we started eating.

We layer down on the ground and looked up at the stars. I snuggled in his chest and fell back asleep. I was woken up by the sound of a mustang.

I started to shake Pony awake. When he was fully awake, I said, "Look." A blue mustang was parked right in front of us. He said, "Go. Run!"

I looked at him and said, "I will not leave you." He said, "Abby, go. I don't want to risk you getting hurt." I nodded my head and ran.

I didn't get too far because one of the Socs had me pinned down. He said, "Where do you think your going?" I tried to get out of his grip, but he had me down tightly.

I said, "Oh, you know away from you." He cracked an evil grin and took out his switch blade. He made a huge gash on my forehead. I knew I was losing a lot of blood.

I screamed in pain, but than I was save, but it wasn't Ponyboy. Who was my hero?
