Chapter 7- Tame The Beast

"Dammit my strikes do nothing other than make it angrier." Gale lunged right back at it but only grazed the shimmering red scales. "Grr, there must be a way!" Gale said as he blocked an incoming slash from the Franox's razor sharp claws. "Th-the-there is a way." Said the voice of the lady who was screaming for help. "What! What is it!" Gale said loudly blocking the continuous slashes. " well you see the Franoxes' while being dragons of legend are also the mortal enemies of the Caterines, half cat half human hybrids. They know the secret techniques to killing these beasts but they were all," The lady gulped," slaughtered or taken as slaves by the humans and lost all hope. Only a few are still alive.". The Franox blew out pure fire as hot as lava. "WHERE DO I FIND ONE!" Gale shouted while slicing the flames away from the two of them. "Hmph you humans are all the same." The lady ripped her cloak off revealing two cat like eyes, a young girl's figure and shimmering green cat eyes. She had dark red hair and used her natural claws as weapons.
"Only cause I want to live I'll help you out but after that don't try chasing me. I'm Terri one of the few Caterines alive.". Gale was amazed at what he saw but then focused back to the fight. "Right so what's the plan." Gale said dodging the Franox's deadly chomps. "Keep that beast off me for a few minutes." Terri said as she begun chanting words impossible to repeat in human tongue. "You got it. HEY YOU BASTARD IF YOUR HUNGRY COME GET SOME!"
The Franox's eyes glowed a deep red. It flew high into the high firing balls of flame around Gale. The flames impacted the earth blocking off gale from Terri. "Terri you done yet!" Gale witnessed the impacted flames transformed into pillars of fire creating an arena for Gale and the Franox. "Grrr if that how it is, HOPE YOU LOVE HELL!". "HUMAN!" A deep thunderous voice boomed from the dragon. "Arrgh yo-you talk!" Gale stopped in his tracks at the feet of the mighty beast. "HUMAN, WHY DO YOU HELP THIS INBREED!" The dragon moved in closer to Gale. "I help her cause she was in trouble!" Gale said proudly. "I SEE." The dragon returned to its majestic pose. "HUMAN, JOIN ME!". "Join you?" Gale said returning to battle stance. "YES JOIN ME AND HELP ME DESTROY EVERY RACE IN THIS PAINFUL WORLD! STARTING WITH THAT CAT RIGHT NOW!" The Franox said evilly. "How could you! No one needs to die especially those we care for! I will never harm Terri even if I just met her. And that goes for the rest of the races but if that's how it is then" Gale clinches his fist," prepare for a fight to the death! TERRI YOU READY!". "Y-Y-YEA!" Terri shouted as the pillars disappeared. "VERY WELL HUMAN THIS IS NOW YOUR FINAL FIGHT!"
"DRAGOON RETRIBUTION!" Terri shouted. A blood red cloud rained upon the Franox decimating his protective scales revealing his weak point. "There it is." Gale smirked, "SWORD BURST DRIVE!" Gale rammed into the beast with his blade while spinning his entire body simulating a drill. "What! It did next to nothing" Gale looked shocked. "FOOLISH HUMAN EVEN WITHOUT MY SCALES I AM A GOD BUT MY OFFER STANDS KILL THAT CAT AND I SHALL LET YOU LIVE."."NEVER!" GALE SHOUTED," GRRRAHH TAKE THIS, FINAL FURIES!".
"He's doing so much just for me even though all he as to do is kill me and end it." Terri said softly, "AIM FOR HIS WIND PIPE!". "Got it. Hey ugly hope you had dessert cause you ain't getting any again!" The dragon was struck hard by Gale in his neck almost snapping it in two. "HOW DID YOU. THAT CAT. RAARRR I SWEAR I SHALL RETURN AND SLAUGHTER YOU ONE DAY FOR NOW I SHALL TAKE MY LEAVE BUT THAT CAT," the Franox slurps it's lips," IS MINE!". the dragon grabs Terri with its foot and takes off into the air. "NOOO SAVE ME PLEASE!" Terri's screams faded slowly. "TERRI NOO!" Gale jumped into the air grabbing the beasts tail. He climbed to the foot Terri was being held by and stabbed it releasing her to fall. Gale jumped off the dragon and grabbed Terri in his arms while falling to the ground leaving a large crater in his wake.
"Am I dead?" Terri said opening her eyes but saw the face of someone familiar. "Heh nope but your safe now." Gale said happily. "Wha- let me go now." Terri started hitting Gale's back. "Fine fine jeez you do one nice thing. Well now that your safe I'll be leaving so bye.". Gale began walking off. "WAIT!" Terri shouted. Gale turned around. "I'm coming with you.". "Hmm but didn't you say.". "I know what I said but that Franox said he'll be back most likely with his scales so you'll need a Caterine to help out. Also I didn't get your name what was it?." Terri said with an annoyed face. " Oh I'm Gale Everthorn but just call me Gale." Gale said as he continued to walk off, "Well let's go.". "Hmm Gale." Terri said with her hand by her heart, "Maybe not all humans are bad after all.".
