~Topanga's pov~
I get home from work only to find an angry Cory sitting at the dining table, his hands entangled in his hair as Auggie watches tv. I go over to Cory, rubbing his back gently."Are you okay, honey?" I ask quietly. He just looks at me, a mix of anger and frustration in his eyes. "N-no.." He says, his voice small, obviously trying to hold in his anger.
As if on que, someone knocks on the door. "Auggie come play!" Ava's voice chimed through the speaker. I sigh deeply as my eyes roll upon hearing her voice.
"Can I?" He asks excitedly, turning to us. I smile, "of course. Just be safe and be back by five." He smiles wide. "Okay mommy!" He says as he soon leaves, leaving me and Cory to ourselves.
"I kicked Riley out-" Cory bursts out, causing my eyes to widen. "What?!" I practically yell back as I take a step away, collecting my thoughts.
"You kicked out Riley? As in she doesn't live here anymore?"
He just nods slowly, knowing I'm going to be upset.
"You-.." I take a deep breath, calming myself down as much as I can before continuing. "Why? Why did you kick her out? Without my consent?" I ask sternly.
"I was acting on impulse, Topanga! I've had enough of Maya!" He complains.
My eyes widen upon hearing her name. But maybe it's a different Maya.. "Maya?.." I question hesitantly.
"Yes! She's been getting under my skin since I first started teaching her! She never pays attention, and she's constantly flirting with another girl everytime I see her!" He lets his frustration and anger out by going on and on about her.
"What's her last name?" I question. "Maya Hart. And the worst thing is that she kissed Riley! And then later Riley tells me that she's lesbian!"
By this time, I've stopped listening. I'm too shocked. What is the possibility that.. No. No. It can't be right. Maybe he just doesn't know who he's talking about.. Maybe he's just saying the wrong name.. Yeah.. That has to be it..
I take a deep breath, turning to Cory, kissing his cheek. "Hey, calm down. It's her life. We have to let her live her life. We can't be too controling over it.. I'm going to talk to her, okay?"
He sighs slightly as a small smile makes its way onto his face. "Yeah. You're right. I'm just worked up over nothing.."

I call Riley, hoping she'll pick up.. Hoping she isn't with Maya.. I have a good reason for that..
The phone rings for what seems to be an eternity before I finally hear her pick up.
H-hello?" She finally answers, sounding hesitant and distant. "So I hear that you're a lesbian." I say, my voice stern but soft.
"But," I start, "it's okay.." I pause for a second, working up the courage to tell her what I need to. "I.. Used to be too.." I finally tell her, hearing a slight gasp on the other line. "Wait-wait- what?!" She asks, I can hear the shock in her voice. "I know you wouldn't expect me to have been. But your father doesn't know that. Neither did you. Until now."
This is getting me no where. I have to know who she's with. "This-this is all so new to me what-" I interrupt her, "Don't worry about it. Anyway, I'm happy for you. Who's the lucky girl you're with?" Please, don't say- "Maya."
"WHAT?!" I accidently let slip out, quickly covering my mouth. "Uhh.. Is there something wrong with that?.." I hear Riley ask hesitantly. "Uhh.. N-no.." I finally answer, panic filling me. "I uhh.. Should go.. I love you." I quickly hang up before anything else can happen.
This can't be happening. This can't be happening! Out of all of the girls you could be with, you choose her?!
