Months passed. After about four moth, the war ended. The allied powers had won and hitler fell. The soldiers ran into the camps, yelling and cheering. The war was over. They finally won. They could go home! Home, somewhere Karkat had to decide now.

"Karkat!!" Rufioh said, running up to him and picking him up. He tossed the kid over his shoulder. "We won! We won kid!!! The war is over!! We get to go home!! I get to see my sisters and brother and mom and dad! I get to go home!!" He hugged the one eyed kid.

"...Rufioh?" Karkat said shyly.

"Yeah?" Rufioh was still smiling, wide and brightly. "...oh..." He realized. "Where you go..." He placed the kid down.

Just then, Haakon and Gamzee walked in. Kurloz wasn't with them. "Karkat? Anything?"

Karkat looked at Haakon, then back at Rufioh. He stood there for a minute, no one said a word. They were all dead silent, waiting for Karkat to act.

After what seemed like an eternity Karkat turned to Rufioh and hugged him. He hugged him tightly, burying his face in the soldiers chest. "Thanks for everything... You really saved me.. Thank you for all you did... Go back to your family and tell what you did. You are good and...and I'll never ever forget!"

Rufioh hugged Karkat back, smiling softly. He got down on his knees and looked Karkat in the eyes. "Keep safe kid. Go find you mom and sisters. I know they're out there. Go find them and tell them some weird American who's obsessed with a made up super hero helped you out. Tell them you survived... Tell them...- tell them you're one tough kid!" He hugged Karkat tightly, letting him go to the makaras after.

Haakon took Karkat's hand and started leading everyone out. "Wait!" Rufioh stopped them for a minute. He grabbed his hat and the captain America comic. He put the hat on Karkat and handed him the comic. "Just a little something to remember me by."

Karkat hugged Rufioh again. "I will not  forget..." He said once more, before leaving with the makaras. All four of them left the base camp, heading back into Germany.

Rufioh watched them leave, standing at the edge of the base. Unexpectedly, Jones ran up and picked Rufioh up. "Alright Nitram!!! We get to go home in a day!!" He was bouncing up and down, crushing Rufioh.

"You're going to kill me!" Rufioh squeaked out, pushing himself away from Jones.

Jones laughed and placed Rufioh down. "C'mon, we gotta get our stuff together!" He gently punched Rufioh's shoulder. Rufioh laughed and the two soldiers walked to the tent and gathered their things. Everyone was cheering and celebrating their last night in France.

The next morning all of the soldiers were being shipped back. It was around six in the morning when Rufioh got on the last plane out of France for the soldiers. He would be home in ten hours. Home to his family and to Horuss.

Ten hours on the plane and it finally landed in New York at 4pm. All of the families were waiting for the soldiers, so when they came out and saw their families they were hugged and loved. Girlfriends were waiting along with the families. Rufioh saw his family and they ran over to him, except aranea who was pushing tavros over.

"Rufioh!!!!" Vriska yelled, jumping on him. "I missed you!!"

"You've gotten so big!!" Rufioh smiled, hugging his sister. "Oh! I kept all the letters you wrote! And all the drawings you and Tav did!"

"Really?! Awesome!!" Vriska kept hugging Rufioh, clinging to him.

"Hey Aranea! Hey Tavros!" Rufioh smiled and waved. Spinelli was standing beside Rufioh, smiling as she watched her son greet everyone. Rufioh gently got vriska off and hugged Aranea.

"You're still the same I see!" Aranea pointed out, hugging him back.

"Yep! I never change!" Rufioh laughed, looking down at Tavros. "I missed you!" He picked Tavros up and hugged him close.

"Rufioh!" Tavros never liked being picked up. "Don't pick me up!!" He freaked out, but Rufioh kept hugging him. "W-well, I, uh missed you too!"

Rufioh placed Tavros back down and looked around the drop off area. "Where's dad? He should be here by now."

"Oh, he's here. He just wanted to get something." Spinelli smiled, hugging Rufioh. "Oh, God. I missed you so much Rufioh."

"I missed you too..." Rufioh said, hugging his mom back. "I have so much to tell you!"

"I'm sure you do." Spinelli looked behind Rufioh and saw Simon walking up with someone. "How about you go greet them?" She pointed behind him.

Rufioh turned around and saw the two walking up. "Damara!" He yelled, rushing over. He limped when he walked now, stumbling when he ran over. "I missed you, doll!"

"I thought you'd want to see her." Simon smiled, ruffling Rufioh's hair. "I'll leave you two alone."

"Oh my god! I missed you!" Rufioh kissed damara and hugged her close. Despite also loving Horuss, he never hated Damara in anyway.

Damara looked at Rufioh's hand and pulled it closer to her face. 'What happened??' She spoke in Japanese.

"Oh, uh, well it got cut off...I haven't had it for a while..." Rufioh chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Nitram!!" Jones, from across the room, ran over with a girl. "I found you!!"

"Oh, hey Jones!!" Rufioh said, smiling at his friend.

"I wanted you to meet my girl! Her name's Elise!" Jones put his arm around the girl.

"Hey Elise. I'm Rufioh!" He stretched out a hand for her to shake. She took it and chuckled. "This is Damara! My girlfriend." Rufioh smiled, grabbing Damara's waist.

"Hi Damara!" Jones said with a smile.

"Uh, she doesn't speak English... She understands it perfectly fine!" Rufioh explained as Damara said "hello" back in Japanese.

"That's fine! As long as you can understand and translate!" Jones laughed. "Oh! They're holding a ceremony later tonight. I have a feeling you'll get something!" He lightly punched Rufioh's arm.

"What?" Rufioh looked at Jones in confusion as the soldier walked away. "Alright, then..." He looked over at Damara. "Let's get back to my family." She nodded at the idea.
