i crossed oceans for someone who was afraid of water
when it was his turn to cross, he said "i'd never"
i've kept my heart at bay ever since
tucked away, behind ivy-covered walls waiting for my prince
then you came along and stumbled in
tearing through branches with thorns
swimming through infested waters
and walking through fiery pits of doom
just so you could come and save me
so i crossed my fingers and i crossed my heart
hoping that we were going to last
hoping that past will remain as past
for the damsel with a broken heart
can love again, 'til death do us part
