Chapter 5- The Mission!

After we were caught, everybody wouldn't leave us alone. They were teasing us. I wouldn't smile at anybody, I would just glare at them. Everything makes since now. They MEANT for us to do that. The girls were trying to get Natsu and I together, but it's not happening. Nope. NOPE! I don't even like him! I think......

Right now I am sitting at the bar in the guild, a drink in my hand. Lucy and Levy took Annabel and Pink out to the town. Scar is sitting beside me, watching me. I glare at the counter.

Scar chuckles, "You know, that's not going to help your problems."

I sigh and look over at him my glare fading, "I know. I just don't know what to do anymore."

Scar shrugs, "We could go on a mission. That could help."

I think about it. A mission really could help. I haven't been on one yet, so, I could bring along Erza's group and Annabel. It would be fun!

I nod and stand up, smiling and heading for the request board. I start looking through them.

One instantly catches my eye. There's an island that is being invaded by a dark guild. I guess I can go on that one. I grab it and start looking for Erza. I find her sitting at a table and eating cake. i put the mission on the table in front of her, "Want to join me on this mission?"

Erza reads through it, "Sure, but my team is joining us. We will probably need the help." I nod and smile.

"I have to retrieve Annabel from Lucy and Levy, anyways. When do you want to leave? I was thinking in about 2 hours since it will take us probably 2 days on foot. Maybe 5 minutes if I feel like teleporting. I haven't tried a big group, so, I could just go back and forth." I smile and Erza nods. I then exit the guild with Scar, looking for Lucy, Levy, and Annabel.

~~~~Time Skip -2 hours-~~~~

Annabel, Erza's team, and I are getting ready to leave. I take in a deep breath and get ready to teleport. The first group will be Annabel, Erza, Gray, Lucy, Happy, Carla, Scar, and Pink. We grab eachother's hands and I work my magic. We arrive at the island. I look around. It's very dark and gloomy, "Hm.....This island is depressing."

Everybody else nods in agreement. I teleport back to the guild to get Wendy, Natsu, and Gajeel with PantherLily because he wanted to come with. I Teleport them to the island, blushing because Natsu and I had to hold hands.

When we arrive, we see the rest already fighting with the dark guild. Something about the dark guild seems familiar, but I just can't find out what. I look around for Annabel, "Annabel! Annabel, where are you?!?!" As I call for her, one of the dark guild members hit me with an attack. I land hard on the ground with a loud 'OOF!' I've already used quit a bit of magic power by teleporting the big group, but I wasn't going to not beat the living shit out of this guy.

I glare at him, "What did you do with my Annabel?!?!" I whip my head over to the guy who attacked me just to gasp with surprise, 'No.....It can't be......'

"Long time no see, Kathryn, my love. Now, for OUR Annabel, I was thinking she could stay with me for a while. She needs to know the truth, anyway." The man says. He has shaggy black hair and bright red eyes. He wears a white bandana over his mouth. The white bandana has a drawn on smile. He wears a nice, white shirt with a black tie and black skinny jeans. ((A/N: He's the pictures XD))

I still had the surprised look on my face, "I......I thought you were......."

He raises my eyebrows, "Dead? Oh, I was, but then I just woke up. It was your father who woke me up, actually. He said something about you having my kid then he said something like I need to bring her to him. Whatever. He was old and dumb, anyways."

I furrow my eyebrows, "W-What did you do to him? What are going to do with Annabel?"

He smirks a bit, making the edges of the bandana rise, "You'll find out eventually, my love. But for now, I must go. See ya later, beautiful!"

I growl and pounce on him, but end up grabbing thin air. He's gone and he has Annabel. My Annabel. My baby. My light.

I lay there, blinking tears from my eyes. I stand up and run, calling for Annabel, "Annabel!!! Annabel come back!!!! Fight, Annabel!!!" I whip my head around frantically. When I hear nothing, the tears fall. I lost my baby. I lost my only meaning of life because of him. Because of the man I love. I don't even know what happened. He used to be filled with light, but now he is just darkness. I don't understand. His name is Akio Hiroki. He is Annabel's father.

And we were in love. 5 years ago, Akio and I went on a mission together. That was also the day I found out I was going to be having a child. On that mission, Akio died, saving my life. Annabel gets her hair and eyes from him. She looks exactly like what he USED to look like. From then on, I didn't even look at other men. I dedicated my life to Annabel, but now she's gone and it's my fault.

The others all watch me. They all have tears in their eyes, but they don't understand my pain. They will never understand the pain of losing your only child to their father who you thought was dead. You get a loved one back as you also lose one.

I know for a fact that she isn't dead because the ring is still glowing, but still. We both have matching rings. Thy are black with a blue jewel. The jewel glows and that's how we know the other is still alive. It glows. Right now, the blue is brighter than ever. This just means that I cannot rest until I find her.

I stand up, my bangs covering my eyes.My arms hang by my side. I look up at everybody, tears still in my eyes, "I need to find her. I won't rest until I do. If you want to join, then great. But if you don't, then leave." I then start walking in a direction, but Erza stops me.

"Kathryn, please. We need to get back to the guild and inform Master about our current situation. The whole guild will help, we just need to go back." I look around to see everybody has their eyes on me. Pink is sobbing and Scar is looking at me with a look that says, 'Listen.'

I grumble then nod, "Whatever....Lets go....." We all grab hands and I do the biggest teleport I've done. It actually takes less magic energy than I thought it would.

~~~~Time Skip~~~~

We are back at the guild. Master has gathered everyone in the guild hall. Master and I stand on the stage. He lets me talk.

"When we were on the mission, somebody who I thought was dead came back and he took Annabel. His name is Akio Hiroki. He now has black, shaggy hair and bright red eyes. If you see him, do NOT kill him. You can damage him, but please bring him to me and let me handle it. He is not the man I used to know. Something happened and I want to know what it was. I don't think it's actually him. SOMETHING is controlling him. I've brought you all together to ask for your help in finding my baby girl. Please." I look around the room at everybody. They all have determined looks on their faces.

Lucy holds up her hand, showing the FairyTail sign, "FOR ANNABEL!" Everybody follows after her, yelling, "FOR ANNABEL!"

I hold up the sin, along with Master. I yell, "FOR ANNABEL!" Tears start to form in my eyes as I look at the guild. All of them looks up at me with determined, angry looks. Some of them are even crying.

Tomorrow we will start the search for my light.
