As the sky darkens with the incoming storm, I realize that somewhere along the way I had fallen for the man from my dreams. He had promised me so many things. And like the idiot that I am, I had fallen for it. I had believed his promise of a better life.

Laying lost in my thoughts, I barely noticed the figure approaching me from behind. Leaping to my feet, I turned to face them with a growl. Only to realize that it was Jay.

Realizing that it was my cousin who approached, I sit down on my hunches. Waiting for Jay to sit beside me. As he sits beside me, I hear him sigh. I let a low whine escape my lips as I wait for Jay to speak.

Finally as Jay began to tell me about the packs past, I begin to calm down. Jay told me that he had brought me a change of clothes and left them behind a tree. Standing up, I calmly walk into the woods. Easily finding the clothes, I phase and get dressed. Physically and emotionally I am drained from everything that I have witnessed and been through.

Walking back out of the woods, I sit back down beside Jay. As we watch the beautiful sunset, he asks,"You loved him"? Not trusting my voice, I simply nod. Long after the darkness surrounds us, we remain sitting in silence. Both of us at a loss for what to say.

Finally as ths full moon rises over the water, Jay stands up and offers me his hand to help me up. Together we walk back to Emily's where I will be staying until I gain control of my phasing.

As we walk into Emily's house, Jay and I see my Mom sitting at the dinning room table with Sam, Billy Black, Old Quil Atera, and Sue Clearwater. It was immediately apparent that they had been discussing me. As they took note of our entrance., they had stopped talking.
