Once In A Lifetime Love

Chapter Seven

My body feels as though I have had a severe case of the flu with the body aches to prove it. As I looked for the girl, her body lay on the ground torn into shreds. Suddenly I could hear voices in my mind. Shaking my head, I honestly believe that I fell off of the edge of sanity. As an authoritative voice comes through loud and clear, a solid black wolf steps into my line of view.

The voices in my mind were trying to calm me down as I was freaking out about the wolf. A voice that I suddenly recognized stood out from the others. I felt my eyes widen as I realize that the voice was Jay's. I guess he heard my thoughts. He answered back, "Yeah, its me". I thought, What the Fuck? How can I hear you? The black wolf in front of me pointed his nose toward the stream beside me. Turning my head to look into the stream, I see a beautiful white wolf.

I opened my mouth to scream. The wolf's mouth opened, releasing a howl. Not wanting to believe my own thoughts, I looked down where my feet should be. Instead of seeing the sandals that I had on, I see white paws. As I lifted my head to look at the black wolf, I saw Jays friend Sam. As Sam approaches me, I take a wobbly step backwards. Almost falling into the stream.

Opening my mouth to try and talk, I growl instead. Sam held up his hands as if showing that he meant me no harm. He sighed as the guys walked out of the woods, causing me to sidestep into the stream. I whined as the cold water touched me. My head snapped to Embryonic and Paul as they laughed. A deep growl emitting from within my chest. Sam gave them a cowering look, causing them to stop.

Sam told them to burn the leeches body while he and Jay takes me back to Emily's and help me to shift back. Turning back to head for Emily's, Sam motioned for me to follow. I walked just behind Sam and Jay as we walked back. My mind was totally alone.

My Mom had often told me the Quilette legends when I had been small. But weren't they just that? Or does unicorns exist to?
