The days and weeks following Michelle's father's death were hard for both Michelle and her Mom. The horror of finding her Father's cold lifeless body laying on the floor haunted her dreams.

For days Michelle had went without sleep before her Mom had taken her to the doctor. At first the sleeping pills that the Doctor had prescribed had seemed to work. A week after Michelle had first started taking the pills, the dreams of her Father had returned.

Often as she was in the between state of half awake and half asleep, Michelle had thought that she seen a pair of red eyes in her room. The first few times, she had believed that it was her imagination. That was until she had began to notice strange things.

Finally Michelle had gathered her courage to tell her Mom about the strange red eyes and the strange humming that she had often heard in her room at night. When Michelle had told her Mom, he Mom had been concerned and worried. She knew that her daughter wasn't one for making up strange stories. She had thought that the trauma of finding her Fathers body had traumatized Michelle to the brink.

Two weeks after Michelle had told her Mom about the strange things, her Mom had been home alone. Michelle had been at school for the last day of the year. Shauna had been packing her and Michelle's things to take a vacation to visit her brother in Law Push. As she was folding clothes at the foot of her bed, Shauna had felt a cold breeze to the back of her neck. With a shiver, she had turned to meet a set of red eyes.
