As Shauna had turned around, she had seen a breathtaking handsome man. Immediately she had known that there was something wrong about him. Not only was his beauty inhuman but he had eyes that were a deep blood red. Having grown up with the Quilette legends, Shauna had immediately put two and two together. She knew without a shadow of a doubt that the man before her was a vampire.
As Shauna had opened her mouth to scream, the sound of Michelle opening the front door had sounded through out the otherwise silent home. The mans head had snapped towards the empty hallway. A hiss had escaped his lips before he had darted out of the open window.
As Michelle had entered her Mom's room, Shauna had snapped out of her trance. Shauna had simply looked at her daughter and told her that they were leaving immediately. Michelle had went into her room to gather her things. On her bed had laid a single blood red rose. The sight of the innocent looking flower had sent cold shivers through out her body.
Leaving the rose on the bed, Michelle picked up her bags as she walked out of the room. Finding her Mom standing beside the front door, Michelle followed her out to the car. She didn't ask any questions. She knew that her Mom was upset. Michelle did not know what had shaken her Mom to the core, but she knew that it had to have been something major.
After two hours of driving, Michelle had seen the sign welcoming them to La Push. With a questioning look she had turned to her Mom as they had pulled up in front of a small quaint house.
Shauna had taken a deep breath before she had turned to face her daughter. She smiled before saying, "Lets go see your Uncle John".
As both Mother and daughter had climbed out of the car, Michelle had saw a man and woman come out of the house. Behind them had been a tall buff guy. As she watched, Michelle's Mom had hugged both the man and woman. As Shauna had smiled at the young guy she beckoned her daughter forward. Introducing her to her Uncle John, Aunt Karen, and her cousin Jared.
