Mariana's P.O.V.

The dinner runs smoothly and after dessert and an active conversation around the table, the doorbell rings. It is Lottie, her boyfriend and Louis's mum who is here to wish Liam a happy birthday and to take Freddie home, since he won't be staying for the party. We all move to the couch to resume the conversations and Lottie and Tommy join us. It's almost 10pm, so the guests are probably arriving.

Liam wanted to make a sort of dinner-party, a dinner with the closest friends and family and then a party with loads of people. I think Harry told me that he invited like 300 people. From what he told me, there are a lot of celebrities coming, thus the heavy security.

"H." I call out quietly. "H!" He is sitting next to me on the couch, but is talking to Niall and Tommy about something I'm not paying attention to. When he finishes saying what he was saying he looks at me and answers also quietly, almost whispering.

"Yeah?"

"Do you know for sure if Murray (tennis player) is coming?" I ask in a low voice and smiling.

"Yeah, Liam said he's coming with Kim (Sears, his wife)." He whispers smiling and with a mocking look on his face.

"Cool! What about the Be-"

"They're also coming, David, Victoria and Brooklyn I suspect." He cuts me off and answers amused.

"No way!" I say enthusiastic and way louder than what I should have, and Harry chuckles. "What? I'm sorry I still get starstrucked, Mr. I've-met-the-Queen!"

"I haven't met the Queen. Only the Princes." He mocks. I give him a pat on the arm and rest my head on his shoulder. He caresses my cheek with his hand.

"Hey guys, do you want a drink?" Liam asks everyone in the living room. He looks at everyone individually to know their answer.

"Harry?" He looks at Harry.

"Yeah, I'll have a beer. Cheers man." Liam nods and looks at me hesitant.

"Do you... Can you..."

"Yes please! I haven't had a drink in 6 months!" I say smiling and the room is filled with an incredibly awkward silence. Embarrassing...

"Hm... What will you have?" Liam breaks the silence.

"A Gin, please." I awkwardly smile and nuzzle my face into Harry's chest. "Shouldn't I have said that?" I whisper with my voice muffed by his chest.

"You can say whatever you want, babe. Just... I guess no one was expecting it... But it's great that you're like that. Although it may shock some people, it eventually makes the environment better and lighter instead of having it as a taboo." He says softly rubbing my head and hair with his hand. "Everyone should be more like you. I wish I was at least." I lift my head up and look up to him. He kisses my forehead and then my lips.

After a while of talking, the guests started coming and the garden started to get crowded. As everyone arrived we would greet them and, most of the time, Harry would introduce them to me.

Almost everyone we greeted would say they heard what happened and would give their condolences or encourage us to stay strong or say that they prayed for us or something like that. It's so weird having people you don't know at all saying all of those things.

There was this one guy, Liam's friend I think, who said that now we have to keep "practicing" in order to make an other baby (wink). Argh! Sometimes people are so inappropriate! I just smiled and nodded and Harry put on a more serious face with furrowed brows. I rubbed his arm and told him to let it go. The guy was already pretty tipsy anyways.

Everyone else was great though. I met Andy Murray and the Beckhams and I think I actually covered up my excitement pretty well... Lou showed up as well. She couldn't make it earlier because of something related to The Bleach. Some kind of meeting I believe.

The party was awesome. The DJ Liam hired was amazing, he played great remixes of hits that everyone new the lyrics of. Everybody was in a good mood and singing and dancing along. Harry didn't drink much, but I did. He kept asking me if I was okay and if I wanted to go home but I was feeling terrific. I was just at the right level of drunkenness. I was happy and dizzy and with an enormous rush inside and I just wanted to dance and sing. I kept trying to make Harry dance with me but I guess he wasn't drunk enough to do it there. He was very caring of me. I think he was a bit worried. I actually got drunk pretty fast although I didn't even drink that much. I guess 6 months without a sip have that effect on you once you drink again.

When the midnight hit the clock, we sang the Happy Birthday song and opened up the cake. It was massive! It wasn't very tall, but it was long and was filled with pictures. Group pictures mainly. Apparently the cake was a surprise by Cheryl and Liam didn't have any idea of how it would be. She had asked everyone invited to the party to send in one picture of them with Liam and she had a collage made and printed on the cake. The result was amazing.

After everyone had a piece of cake, Liam called out for everybody's attention and told us to look up. We all did what he said and looked up to the sky, which was once clear and perfectly showing the moon, and now was cloudy. He screamed "Light it up!" and suddenly a strong light lighted up the clouds and showed the bat-signal. As all this happened the DJ put quite the dramatic background music giving it a particularly mysterious effect to it all. We all cheered and congratulated Liam and the party continued with the bat-signal on all nigh long.

Shortly after 4am, Harry insisted for me to go home. I was already super tired and quite tipsy but I wanted to keep dancing. Eventually Harry succeeded. We said our goodbyes to everyone and he took me home. I feel asleep in the car since home is about an hour away. When we got home Harry gently woke me up and helped me go up the two flights of stairs and into our room. He helped me get undressed and put me in bed. I fell asleep almost instantly.

The next day went by smoothly. We both woke up late and we stayed home the whole day, just chilling. We watched two films and now Harry is cooking us dinner.

Lately, since it all went down, we have been enjoying our time together more than ever. The little break he had after the O2 concerts is coming to an end and soon he has to go back to work. Tomorrow he has a meeting after lunch and is going to spend the whole afternoon in the studio. I haven't gone back to work yet, since I'm still on sick leave for one more week, so I'll be by myself, but fortunately Ness is in town so I've made plans with her.
