So, in light of recent events (the 4th of July party Harry went to with Gemma, Lou and more) I decided to write this chapter happening two months after the last one. The next chapter will most likely continue the story of their first date.

4th of July 16

Harry's P.O.V.

I get in the car and a minute later Mariana gets in the passenger's seat on my left. I remotely open the gates to my house and drive away headed for the city. Lou and Gemma are organizing a lunch-party to celebrate the 4th of July with a lot of our friends, and Lou suggested that I bring Mariana. Although quite apprehensive, Mariana eventually decided to come.

I'm glad she did. We are both a bit nervous since I'm introducing her to everyone and we have only been seeing each other for two months, but I think she'll fit in quite well. Lou and Gemma have already met her, and they got along great. Mariana is by far less into makeup and styling as Lou is, but I think Lou is determined to "turn" her into a beauty geek more and more. Gemma and Mariana really clicked. They are both smart and independent women and they have a lot of things in common, which on the one hand is good for me, since I really want Mar to feel comfortable around my family, but on the other hand can be a pain in my ass, as both her and my sister combined make the most sassy and cheeky comments and teasing.

"Are there gonna be a lot of people?" Mariana asks as she turns the radio down.

"I don't know Mar... I think there're gonna be a few, but don't worry. Everyone is great." I reassure her resting my left hand on her leg. It's something I've never done before, but it just felt right. I could tell Mariana was surprised by my action when her leg tensed, but she relaxed immediately.

"Alright." She nods as if to convince herself. "Alright." She repeats with a more assertive tone and resting her hand on top of mine. I had the same reaction as she did since I wasn't expecting it, but it immediately felt natural and comfortable.

The rest of the ride to Dalston alternated casual on-and-off conversation and the songs on the radio. It's about 12h30pm as we get to The Diner, the American restaurant chosen for the lunch.

I really hope I don't get spotted by fans nor photographers. Not only because I am basically introducing my girlfriend to most of my friends and I don't need to introduce her to the world as well yet, but also because I hate it when I'm at an event with a lot of people and - despite all my efforts to keep a low-profile – hysterical fans come up to me or papparazzis forget about privacy.

"Hey you!" I hear Krystal's distinctive voice coming from my right as we get inside the restaurant.

"Hi there!" I turn to see her coming from the loo. "How have you been?" I greet her with a warm embrace and a genuine smile from seeing an old friend.
