Sasuke sat in front of the white haired doctor, watching as he flipped through his clipboard. Not once did the doctor look up to see how impatient the Uchiha was getting nor did he disrupt Sakura's tapping on the wooden desk. The seconds on the wall clock seemed to become louder with each passing second. "So?" Sakura finally asked, sitting a bit more comfortable as the doctor came to a finish.
"You thought running away from me would be that easy?"
"So, there's nothing else. The patient will need a bit of rest, say a couple of days before he can go. Swab tests came in a few moments ago, there's definitely a trace of forced-"
"We get it." Sasuke interrupted. "How fast will he be able to recover?"
"What should we do, any services you might recommend?" Sakura asked. "I'm sure you're going to tell us physical trauma is not the only thing he'll be walking out with."
The doctor sighed, rubbing his eyes beneath his round glasses. "You're right." He said, now clasping his hands together. "I'm afraid while Uzumaki Naruto will recover from the physical abuse, his mental trauma will be much more difficult to heal. A thing like that, it's- it's not so easy to deal with."
Neji walked over to Kisame, exchanging a foam cup of coffee with him as he took a seat across from the man. "I take it you're not leaving with Kyu?" He asked, lowering the static on his small radio.
Kisame shook his head. "It's not easy to rest easy when he's still out there."
"You think you're safe here?"
Neji sighed deeply, nodding along as he took a sip from his own cup. "Kakashi Hatake." He said after gulping down the liquid. "According to him, a Maito Guy drove over to his station. Naruto had been asleep in the backseat of his car."
Kisame looked over to the young man.
"Said he came out of nowhere, from the woods, it seemed. A few moments later, about fours cars were sent that way and had found a rented cabin under the initials of I.U. It's been identified, but yes, Naruto's blood was there, Itachi's belongings as well."
Kisame shifted in his seat, keeping quiet as Neji continued.
"It's been under watch, Itachi hasn't returned not once after you said he left. His image has already been shown to the local stations, any sight of him and we'll know." He assured. "We'll be there."
Kisame nodded, placing his cup down on the small coffee table. "And you want me to feel better knowing you have guys standing around while he could be out there planning a way to get through us?"
"Kisame-"
"Itachi was always there, Neji." He started. "He walked around without a care as if he really had nothing to hide. He fooled us all, he could fool you."
Neji sighed, deeply thinking about it.
"Let me tell you something, Naruto. You've never been in more danger your whole life."
Naruto opened his eyes in terror, waking up from the sudden urge to fight against an invisible force. He had been sure he felt constraints on him, but looking at his wrists, nothing but white bandages were there. Sighing, he let his head sink deeper into the white pillow under him.
'I'm at a hospital.' He assured himself, looking over to the clock on the wall.
Time: 10:43 p.m.
He felt so tired, though. Even though it had been about four when Kyu had left him to rest, Naruto found himself still sore, pained and what's worse, a lot more fatigued than earlier.
