It was the time, the time everyone hates about someone's passing. Especially if you have just gotten your mind off of it. It's was my dads funeral.
Me, mum and Georgia were all sat at the funeral place waiting for other family members to arrive. The whole time I'm sat with my head in my hands and Georgia's arm around my shoulder. All I wanted was to see Joe.
"You all must be Eds family." A young looking woman says, I look up, we all nodded
"Please follow me if you would like to say final goodbyes to Ed before the ceremony."
Everyone got up but me, I couldn't bare another second in here I had to leave. I told Georgia that I was going outside, to get some air and that I will be back in 5 minutes.
I ring Joe, but no answer.
Joes pov
My phones starts ringing. I ignore it. I'm driving down to see Lauren at her dads funeral. Loosing someone is really hard and I want to be with her every step of the way. I really love Lauren, but I don't think this is the right time, not yet.
I pull up outside and wait in my car for a limo to pull in. 5 minutes later it arrives. I slowly walk out of my car to see, Lauren in a short black dress with the hair left down. I walk over to her and give her a huge hug.
"Everything will be alright don't panic."
"Thanks Joe, I didn't think you were coming."
"Well, here I am" I say with a smile on my face, she started smiling as well.
I looked around, without hesitation I kissed Lauren. It wasn't as deep as our first, but I still liked it.

We were now inside, wow the place was packed full of people. Ed didn't lie when he said he wanted to feel popular. I grab Lauren's hand, and hold it tightly. The priest had said all his words and it was now time for personal speeches.
Lauren's pov
It was my turn I stepped up, tears rolling down my face, I couldn't get any words out until..
Joe came and stood next to me, I built up some courage to only speak a sentence. I broke down. Joe grabbed the bit off paper out of my hands and started to read it. I looked like such a idiot. He had finished reading out my speech, he grabbed my hand and pulled me back onto my seat.
"I look like such a idiot." I say looking at Joe.
"You don't, you tried your hardest and that's all that matters." He smiled, I rested my head on joes should I just wanted this to be over.
