Strange love

Fresh Start

I wake up after having a pretty good first nights sleep in the new house but it could of also been from the fact that I was over exhausted, I roll over and unplug my phone from my charger and check the time nine o'clock am. I get up and decide to get dressed, walking over to my duffel bag I pull out  a Marilyn Manson band t-shirt and a pair of shorts I brush through my long black hair and put it into a messy bun. "Well I better start unpacking but first I need to find my coffee maker,because I know I packed coffee with it." I head downstairs and find the "Kitchen" box and set it on the kitchen table,I open it up and pull out the coffee maker and the coffee mix, I plug the coffee maker into the outlet in the wall and put a coffee filter in the top and pour 2 scoops of coffee mix into it and press the brew button, after along road trip smelling freshly brewing coffee is like the smell of heaven. I continue to unpack the kitchen supplies and then move on to the plates,mugs,bowls,cups and silverware, even just unpacking my kitchen is kicking my ass. as my coffee finish brewing I pour it into a coffee mug and sit down at the kitchen table enjoying my coffee and looking through my phone, seeing all the pictures of Ally and myself , pictures with my brother I do miss them a lot but I needed to leave it wasn't safe for me to live where I was anymore. As I finish my cup of coffee I decide I better head into town to get some groceries and see what kind of places are in the small town, maybe I could even find a job. I grab my keys and my purse and head out the door, as I begin heading towards my car I look to my left and see a house , big worn down, one of those kinds of scary houses you would only see in the movies but I'm seeing it with my own two eyes right in front of me, The only thing keeping my house and that house apart is a wooden fense  running from the middle of in between our houses and surrounding my backyard. I take a quick picture of the house and send it to  Ally  

" Hey, is this the house you were talking about?"

After hitting send I get in my car and head into town there isn't much in town but it's a cute small town. After driving for only five minutes I spot a grocery store, I head in and grab a cart and start going down the Aisle, I notice that everyone in here is looking at me like "Who is she?" which is completely understandable this is probably a town where everyone knows everyone. I shrug it off and continue  grabbing groceries milk, cream, bread,chips,meat, butter,water bottles, french fries,lettuce,fruit and vegetables. After grabbing everything I know I need for sure I head over to the clerk with a smile, as she begins scanning my groceries and a man is bagging them for me she asks if I am new here which I figured someone was going to ask eventually. 

Clerk- " Hey hun,I haven't seen you in here before did you just move here?"

The sweet kind hearted Clerk had to be in her fifty's  with beautiful white hair and a name tag on her uniform which read Brenda.

I answer her with a small shy smile on my face 

Brittany -" Hi, yeah I just moved here yesterday decided I needed some groceries before continuing to unpack my things"

The man bagging my groceries looks to be about twenty three, he's tall , dark hair and very handsome, his name tag says Ben on it. As he gives me a shy smile. 

Brenda- " Well Brittany, welcome to our small town I hope to see you around more."

Ben gives me a smile as he hands me my groceries, I begin to blush maybe I should make some friends around here besides me absolutely handsome. But then again if I meet him again then I'll know I should get to know him.

I wave goodbye to Brenda and Ben and head back to my car , after loading up my groceries I head home. I pull into my driveway and begin taking my groceries into the house and straight to the kitchen and begin unpacking them and putting them away into the fridge and cupboards. I move on to unpacking the rest of the boxes in my house, organizing my clothes and setting up my TV in the living room, getting the wifi turned on. I look at the clock when I notice that it's already five thirty pm, holy shit i've been doing this all day and I lost track of time. After hanging up pictures around my house I'm happy that I have finished unpacking my things, I turn my music on my bluetooth speaker and begin dancing with joy in the kitchen to Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue, I walk over to the fridge and grab things to make a chicken wrap for supper , I go over to the kitchen window from the house next door I see tiny illumination in the window and then a massive shadow walk in front of the light. I shake it off thinking its all in my imagination, after finishing  supper and cleaning up I hear my phone go off and see Ally's name on it I check the message 

"Holy shit! that's Michael Myers house!"
