There was a time
Safely tucked away in my bed
Where I chose to dream, and tried to look for a solution to stop my heart which always bled
So I wandered far beyond the sunset horizon and found you instead
There was a chance taken
Deals made
Our hearts were breaking
So we became each other's remedy
But that was once upon a dream
There was a time
When your eyes shone like the diamond waters of the sea
Every time you looked at me
And I would look at you as if you were all I could see
But that was once upon a dream
There was a time
When our hands and legs would intertwine
And we would laugh about the silly things in our minds
As we thought about endless times
But that was once upon a dream
There was a day
When to the slow beat of the music, our bodies would sway
And all of our stresses and sorrows would fade away
And our deep love was the only thing that kept us at bay
But that was once upon a dream
There was a time
When I had loved you more than anything
And it seemed like happiness was all you would bring
When I let you tear down all my walls
And I drifted in your dangerous waters
But your voice only haunts the halls
And now I know my heart was only yours to slaughter
But our love was never made to last, was it?
Such a silly thing we believed in
Love. It's a fantasy that makes our hearts gleam
But love is only once upon a dream
