Salty sweet silent tears
Breath stopping as she slowly hears
The condition that has threatened her all along
Played a risky game and won
Salty sweet silent tears
Sighing as it only jeers
Thinking of a silver moon
That could end her fighting soon
Salty sweet silent tears
The only thing that drowns out all her fears
As she sees cancer's threatening smile
Wishing she could turn the dial
Salty sweet silent tears
Screaming as she covers her ears
Wishing cancer would let her be
As it turns the heavy key
Salty sweet silent tears
Cringing as her vision clears
Seeing there is no tommorow
As she returns the life that wasn't hers to borrow
Salty sweet silent tears
The only raindrops she ever hears
As she feels herself slipping away
Reaching the dawn of a new day
Salty sweet silent tears
Slowly wasting as her end nears
She lays in peace with hope for a new day
But her memory only goes in vain
Salty sweet silent tears
Reaching as they watch the one so dear
Leave their world without a breath, without a word
The salty sweet tears leaving their visions forever blurred
