I see her beauty through my looking glass again
As beautiful as the moon that has yet to wane
Her existence is what has given me life
And helped me through all my strife
I watch her closely; every blink of her starry eyes,
Every ripple in her midnight dress, memorized
She has captivated my entire world with a simple smile
And all I want to do is go the extra mile
To make her mine until the end of time
But she has broken my heart, committed such a crime
As I broke out from behind the looking glass
In hopes for a love that could last
But I had come too late
And now am forced to cope with my fate
For she has found someone else to live for
And I leave as she closes the door
For any chance at a life long love
That would only slip away and get lost in the heavens above
Yet she may never know of what she has done
Since my existence, now, has been for none
So I sit back and watch the time pass
Never again believing in a love beyond the looking glass
