It's been a few minutes since the others were asleep. It's wasn't going to be daytime for at least 4 more hours. It was still dark around the fire, but at least it wasn't just me to keep look out. Then Janiza comes and sits on a log close to my left.

"I just want to thank you for everything," She says.

"You're welcome," I replied.

"I'm just saying that because-"

"I understand. I also want to thank you guys for keeping up. You know, after the sudden deaths that occurred before, could've been my fault," I said.

"No, no, of course not. You've been doing your part, and those deaths just happened by the cause of these Games," Janiza says.

I smiled and stayed silent.

"How's your sister?" She asked.

"She's doing well... I miss her," I said.

"It's okay, you're going to get out of here and see her again," She said

"It can't just be me who escapes this shitty place," I said.

She laughed at what I said.

"We're all going to make it out," She says.

I then hear a twig snap to the left of where Janiza is sitting. I look in the direction and say, "Someone's here." She and I stand up looking in the same direction. I get my arrow ready, and she has her axes prepared.

"DON'T MOVE OR I SWEAR TO GOD!!!" She shouts.

I can hear Marco and the others getting up. I turned around looking towards them.

"What's going on?" Marco asks.

"They're he-" Janiza almost finished.

Then all of a sudden, a fire ball shoots out of the direction of where we thought were the careers were. Then 5 others separated as the fireball shoots between them all, and catches a tree on fire. Marco, and Janessa move to the right side, and Jordan, Jade, and Caleb, move from the left side.

"YOU GUYS!!!" Janiza yelled.

I turned back at Janiza and saw a white type of fog coming towards us. The fog touched Janiza and she started to scream. She fell onto the ground. I ran towards Janiza and she had purple scabs on her neck, and she was twitching.

"It's poison," Janiza says.

"EVERYBODY RUN IT'S POISONOUS FOG!" I yelled. I helped Janiza get up, but she then seemed fine.

We all ran to the direction where Marco and Janessa dodged the fireball. We kept on running away. Then about 4 or 5 fire balls came towards us. It was coming straight at us as if it was thrown by a baseball player, playing dodgeball. We all threw ourselves down onto the floor. The fire balls were destroying the trees, as they were catching on fire.

"OVER HERE!" Jordan yelled.

Jordan found a cliff where we had to jump down to our right. We all jumped down and ran into a clear area to our left.

"IS EVERYBODY HERE?" I asked.

I thought we were all safe until I heard Jade say, "Where's Marco?" Then another voice spoke out, "Over there!" Janessa said while pointing to the direction in front of us.

I turned my head to see Marco trying to get past the Fog and Fire. The fog and the fire was surrounding him in a circle.

"MARCO!!!" I yelled while running towards him.

Janiza and Jordan ran to stop me, and that's when I heard the screams of Marco, and the cannon. I looked back at them both and said, "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!?"

"WE COULDN'T JUST LET YOU RISK YOUR OWN LIFE FOR HIM!" Janiza said.

"We need to leave now," Caleb said.

"Why?" Jordan asked.

"The fire and the fog won't stop, until this hour is up," Caleb said.

"Hour?" I asked.

Jade walked closer to us, "Yes, hours. As in the Hourly Horrors."

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Jade and Caleb are the only two, who know when the hour is up, or when it's about to happen," Janessa said.

"That's because their both highly intelligent," Jordan said.

"I'll explain later, but we need to go," Caleb said.

I looked back at the fire and the fog, and it was kind of coming towards us, but we all listened to Caleb and we left before anymore of us would get killed.
