Chapter 7 What the crapola!

It was lunch time and me and Feli were eating lunch together when we heard a sound of a bell reign through the house. I looked at Feli questionably. "Uh what was that?" I asked as Feli got off the edge of the pool and make his way to the screen door. "That~a was the door~a bell, it~a means someone is at the~a door." He responded going inside the four story house. I hung from the edge of the pool I had set my plate aside and was waiting somewhat patiently. I was there for a while but then I herd yelling coming from inside the house and hid behind the edge but curiosity kept my eyes glued to the screen door. I herd a scream and a body fell from the other side of the screen door. A human! I hid quickly under the water as I herd the voice of Veneciano and another person arguing above. "WHAT THE CRAPOLA!!! FELI GET-A OFF MY LEGS!" The stranger screamed. " I'm-a sorry brother but I-a have no choice!" Feli cried out. Brother? I thought to myself, could this possibly be Veneciano's brother? I poked my head out of the water right next to the screen door the bodies of Feli and his brother struggled and pinned each other to the ground yelling curse words at each other and wrestled weakly. I chuckled a bit, but Feli's brother heard me and his green hazel eyes found me. I quickly hid under the water. "What the-" I heard the dark brown haired brother say. My heart started to pound, my breathing quickened with terror. There was no where to hide for me the pool was barren. "LOVI NOOOO!!!" I heard Feli scream from above. Then all of a sudden two bodies crashed into the water, and one was Feli. I pushed my body against the wall of the pool. Veneciano's brother caught sight of me and let out a gargling scream. Feli pulled his brother out of the water and I followed them up to the surface. "WHAT THE FUCKING CRAPOLA VENE!!!! YOU HAVE A FUCKING GODDAMN MERMAID IN YOUR FUCKING POOL!!!!" He yelled at Veneciano. "Lovino you're~a scaring her." He whispered and motioned to my way. Lovino saw me and immediately screamed. "So you're Feli's brother?" I asked. "WHAT THE FUCK SHE CAN TALK!?!?!" Lovino screamed again and scrambled to the edge of the pool and clawed out of the water. Feli swam over to me and started introduce us to each other. "Ok Lovino, this is Selah. Selah this is my~a brother Lovino~!" He said cheerfully. "Oh yes tell the-a fucking bloodthirsty-a mermaid my-a name. This is-a great. Just-a great. This-a is a shit load of crazy!" Lovino once again screamed and sat up, not daring to dangle his legs into the water. I looked at him, he is so rude. How are they even related! "I know he might~a seem rude but he~a means no~a harm, he's just~a scared." Veneciano said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Oh, um...ok?" He's scared. He just crashed in he and won't stop screaming and calling me bloodthirsty! I felt me face beginning to grow hot with anger but then calmed myself. "Maybe we got off on the wrong foot. Hi Lovino I'm Selah, nice to meet you." I said in the sweetest possible voice and swam to the other side of the pool to give him a hand shake. He looked at me not sure what to do, but then shook my hand. "Psh, ok. I-a guess we could-a be ok, well as-a long as you don't-a drown me." He said in the familiar accent. I gave a light chuckle. "Oh don't worry. I'd never hurt anyone. Besides, human meat tastes disgusting!" I saw the horror in his face from what I had just said and I couldn't help but burst out laughing. "HAHA! In just kidding lovi! That isn't true." I said still laughing. "What did you-a just call me?" He said sounding almost offended and his face turning red in what I couldn't tell if it was out of anger or embarrassment. I chuckled. "What? Called you lovi." I smirked and splashed some water in his face. "Chill out Chilly pepper. Your face is getting as red as a tomato." I said trying to contain my laughter. "Jerk!" He screamed as he kicked some water at me, also slashing Feli in the process. I turned to Feli and gave him a 'oh my god. You want me to kick his ass' face. He wiped the water out of his eyes and saw me, he grinned. "Do the thing!" He said with a devilish smile and cocked an eyebrow. The bubble spell. I returned the smile. I began the spell as Veneciano slowly swam towards his brother. But before he pulled his brother he turned to me. "You~a did do it for~a me too, right." He said in a small whisper I gave him a quick nod. "What the-" Lovino couldn't finish his sentence when Feli dragged him under the water he tried fighting but I dragged him deeper under. He was swinging his arms and legs but then stopped abruptly, and took in a small breath. Me and Feli started chuckling a bit when his eyes widened with realization and pushed me off of him. "YOU-A JERKS!!!" He looked at us and we couldn't help but cackle. "What the-a hell did you-a do to me?" He said confused. "She used a cool spell, look it's a bubble!" Veneciano grabbed his brother's hand and made him feel around the bubble surrounding his head. "What-a the-""Pretty cool-a right?" Veneciano cut his brother off. "Uh yeah, I-a guess." He said crossing his arms, trying act like he wasn't impressed. Lovino kept touching the bubble and then turned to me. "How do you-a pop the bubble? And how do you-a know magic?" He asked obviously impressed with my spell. I puffed up my chest and smirked wildly. "Well, if you go above water with the bubble it will pop, and it only last for an hour and a half. But it's not the only thing I can do." I said putting my hands on my hips and lifted my chin in pride. They both gasped in amazement. "Really?!?" The two brothers said in unison. "Yeah!" I said proudly. "Watch!" I exclaimed as I made a bubble and I let it float right above my hands. "Woah~!" They said amazed. "No, keep watching." I said as I forced a power surge from the base of my tail to my hands and the bubble began to slowly freeze over making it into a hard clear ball. It dropped into my hands and I showed it to the boys. "Wow!" Feli said as he swam to get a closer look and I handed it to him. "How did you-a do that?" Lovino said in astonishment. "Magic, all mermaids and mermen have some powers. Mine is that I can freeze things. Siren can too but she's much better than me, being an apprentice for a while really made her powerful." I said smiling widely remembering one of my best friends. "Siren?" Lovi said questionably. I smile shrunk a bit. "My friend, she taught me how to use my powers artistically and we became really good at it too!" I said, my simile finally fading to a frown and I lowered my head looking down from the two brothers. "What's-a wrong? Do you miss your family?" Lovino said concern laced his voice. I let my body sink to the bottom of the pool and the two follow me. I lay on my stomach and hid my face in my arms, trying to swallow down the sadness. "Bella? You really miss them don't you?" Feli said softly. "Yeah, I miss them so much... Siren, Nami, and my brothers all of them, I-I miss them s-so much. I d-don't know w-when I'll b-be able to see th-them again." I said stifling a sob. This was when Lovino swam over to me and laid a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him, uncertainty and awkwardness was plastered on his face. But his hazel-green eyes were filled with worry and empathy. And then I felt his arms wrap around me. I sobbed for a bit and I felt another pair of arms hug me from the other side, Feli. I cried for about ten minutes, Feli and Lovi almost crying too. After that we got out of the pool and chatted for a while. I got to tell my story to Lovino and he told me a bit of his life. We joked around and told each other funny stories about our lives. And even though I miss my family a lot, somehow Veneciano and Lovino have created almost an exact same thing I felt when I'd spend time with my friends in the pod, almost like family...
