Part 6

Ben returns to the Resistance base, where Leia was waiting for him. She knew he was going to meet you, perhaps spend the night in his ship with you and then tell you goodbye the next morning.

She really would have preferred that her son would not have met with you, not because you're still the leader of the First Order - but because she feared the Order would follow you to D'Qar and wreck havoc on the Resistance base.

So when Ben returned to his tent where his mother was waiting, with no sign of you or the Order, Leia felt a lot less tense than she did earlier.

"Ben!" She said, approaching her son and giving him a hug.

"Mother. I see you've been waiting for me." He says, holding her in his arms for a moment. "Were you afraid I would go back with her to the First Order?" He asked.

"No. I was worried the Order would follow her to D'Qar." Leia admits, having a seat at her desk.

Ben sits across from her. "She's smart. She wouldn't put you or I in danger."

"She is evil, Ben."

"No she's not. She's being controlled by Snoke just like I was nearly all my life." Ben comes to your defense. "I'm going to save her, mother."

"I want you too. I know what its like to see someone you love succumb to darkness, but do you really think you can?" Leia may sound like she doesn't have faith in her son, but she's just concerned. She doesn't want to lose her son once again.

"If there's anyone who can do it, its me. I have to save her."

"Alright. Well you're not going alone." Leia says.

"Who else would accompany me? No one on this base actually likes me after what I did, mother." Ben says.

"You'll take Uncle Chewie with you. I trust him to protect you." She smiles.

Ben sighs.
