The next morning, I woke up to find that Joe was in fact dead. I concluded that the chloroform had killed him, and began deciding what to do with his body. As I was thinking and having breakfast, I switched on the news. The first image I saw on the TV was in the middle of a report. I jumped in shock when I saw the picture, but I realised that it made sense, and that I never thought about this.
On the screen, nailed onto a pole was a 'Missing' poster, for a certain Joe Cope. Underneath his picture read: 'Last seen outside school laboratory, if anyone has any information, please call 999 and report it. Presumed kidnapped'
The next section, on a separate slip of paper stuck under the poster, was what really worried me, however:MAIN SUSPECT: CONOR BRENNAN
ALSO SUSPECTED: CONOR BYRNE
Conor Brennan: Last seen on bus heading towards Dublin, where he murdered Clyde Butler.
Conor Byrne: Last seen in school where he left class 10 minutes early, at the time of Joe Cope's
disappearance. Was also seen on same bus, acting as Brennan's accomplice, where he was involved in a fight with Clyde Butler.
WANTED ALIVE
REWARD: €10,000 for Brennan
€5,000 for ByrneI ran into Conor's room to warn him that he had been found out, but he was very moody and didn't believe me. (He got moody if you woke him up too early, which, in all fairness, I was the same)
When he eventually got out, I again told him of what I saw on the news, and I showed him the reports. He was worried, and knew that he was now wanted and couldn't go back to school or anywhere public, alike me. We had to go, and fast. We knew that we didn't have time to get rid of Joe's corpse, but we also knew that we couldn't leave Nadira there in the house with Emma (who was out shopping at this time). Waking Nadira and gathering some essentials, we set off, seeking a place to hide away. Staying in the country was risky, so I had a plan. We were going to go to the port...
A/N: Sorry if the chapter is a bit short, I was out of ideas, hopefully back to normal soon :) Thanks for reading :D
