Getting into a taxi, we didn't discuss our situation with Ms. Nakamura, or Ayaka as she told us to call her, in front of the driver. When we got to the hotel she was staying in, she invited us into her room so we could tell her about how and why we were in Toronto. After going through our story, she told us that, as a result of my actions, the school was closed for the time being. She took advantage of that time off to visit her relatives in Toronto. How coincidental.

While Conor was having a shower, his phone rang. Nadira answered it and I could see the concern on her face. When she hung up, she told me that the person on the phone was Emma. Emma was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping after Joe had reported her to the police. Great. Another person's life I've ruined. She would have no idea where we had gone to when we left her house, but I was concerned that people interrogating her wouldn't believe that she didn't know where we were and would try to get information out of her.

When Conor was finished his shower, Nadira and I told her about what had happened to Emma. Conor tried to dismiss what we had said and focus on what we had to do, which was to find some way of getting back to our lives peacefully. That wouldn't be as easy as it sounded though, as, soon enough, word of our wrongdoings back home and our escape would spread around, and a worldwide manhunt would begin. That doesn't sound pleasing.

Despite our attempts to leave Ayaka's room and fend for ourselves without roping her in to our situation, she seemed adamant to help us. She said that she would do whatever she could to help, and also said that she had always preferred to be in Canada anyways. With that, Ayaka left to visit her relatives, the reason she was here in the first place, and we set out trying to find somewhere for us to stay and be safe. Little did we know that pure lives would take another sick twist just around the next corner...
