Sorry I haven't updated until this late hour(10 pm)!
It's been a busy Easter Sunday.
As usual, I went to church, and felt my eyes go numb as the weekly 3 hour long activities took place.
Bird nest cookie things with chocolate eggs on top(yum!) and an Easter egg with kisses made it worthwhile though.
Then it was home, grab the treats we had already prepared(no-bake cookies, choc chip cookies, plastic eggs for hunting, and deviled eggs). The deviled eggs were made by –yours truly–.
My cousins(the Pratts) made key lime and chocolate pudding pie, homemade mashed potatoes with this delicious gravy with meat and celery in it, pot roast, asparagus, roasted Brussel sprouts, veggie and fruit trays, and soda(every child/adult above the age of 3 made something or helped).
I decided to help hide the eggs this year, instead of hunting.
I got a handful of leftover candy in place of eggs.
Each person could get 26 small, and 3 large eggs.
The small contained a few pieces of candy.
The large were either stuffed full of jelly beans, or had a small rubber toy or hot wheels car I play with.
Piggy, being young, was given a head start. When I was helping her get the ones she saw, she spotted an egg in a small chandelier thing above their bath. I then balanced on the edge of the bathtub and grabbed the small egg, earning a "ooh!" And small applause from Piggy in my victory act.
I also was a horse for Honey Bear, chasing the squealing Piggy while "neighing" and trying to buck off Honey Bear.
God, I love my cousins.
I used to see them every day after school, but then I moved on to Middle School, and they moved to a neighboring town.
I didn't have a cute "BYE!" fight with Piggy this time(last time, we would shoot bye's back and forth, trying to be the last one before I left).
She just gave me a big hug and looked down at the ground.
I think she understood because of last time we visited, that I was leaving for home and couldn't coming back for a while.
It broke my heart to see her sad...
Anyways, adventures of before I left first!
When Piggy, the second smallest Pratt cousin gave me some of her small toys to throw with my feet, I couldn't deny the opportunity! I think I laid on the floor trying to fling toys at my targets with my feet for a good half hour, and Piggy would giggle and/or "reload" me by fetching the toys and placing them back at my feet to shoot again.
I never got to hit Papa before he left back to his town.
And when the pies were being made, I may have pretended to be a dog wrestling with Piggy's small stuffed pig and dropped it into the batter.
Wh00ps.😅
Watched a bit of a baseball movie called "The Rookie" with Honey Bear before I joined the presidential debate upstairs with the parents(I'm weird and enjoy a good discussion on rights more than a sports movie).
But then again, I'm not much of a sports fan in the first place.I at last got home and showered quickly before bed, leaving to the present(but past by the time you're reading this) of me writing today's journal entry.
