At the moment, I'm at a Sunday choir practice for Chamber (school mixed choir, which I'm in). It is the last practice before we leave for NYC on this Tuesday @ 4:30 am, and I think everyone is just a ~tad~ bit stressed. I've been mainly struggling with prioritizing... I'll scroll my Insta for hours when I really should be packing or practicing or doing homework, and it's not only messing with my grades, but my ability to focus in general. I wish I could say I would solve it by turning off my phone for a few hours and eliminating the temptation, but.. there's always someone watching TV in the other room, and I would struggle with even turning my phone off.
On the brighter side is that the Carnegie trip/Spring Break is finally here!! We will be seeing Wicked and The Lion King Musical on Broadway, and, of course, dining at New York City's finest street food stands. On another note, Carlos asked me to prom! He didn't do it as a big gesture or anything, just asked me when we were on the topic, but planning with him has been fun so far 😊. I got us After-prom t-shirts, and idk if we're going to stay all the way till 2 am, but we might as well try. The theme for this year's Prom is Masquerade, but we can't actually wear masks bc of security reasons??? 🤷🤷 I'll most likely be substituting a mask with more outlandish and animal-oriented makeup, but we'll have to see.
I went by all the local thrift stores, and we could do a dog theme (Dalmatian + Golden retriever) with a few articles, but it's yet to be set in stone.•••••••••••
