It's a Saturday, so I've mainly been at home.
I worked on the upstairs a bit, picking up trash and such, and then I wrote a bit...
Then I went to the grocery store as per usual for a Saturday.
I got back from the store around 3:08, and I had somewhere to be at 3??? So... Oops?
It was all good though, they were cool with me being late, especially since I gave them a heads up.
I was meeting at the mall with some friends (Jade, Arkey, Roe, and Lillith) to play some (very inexperienced and unplanned) dnd, and all around have a little reunion, as Jade moved away last year.
.....
Apparently, Jade got lost in the mall and had no way of contacting us, so he left???
So the rest of us hung around till about 6:30 playing Munchkin and eating ice cream, occasionally wondering where in the world the person who wanted the reunion in the first place was (Jade).
So yeah, there's that.
I'm pretty sure the ice cream and gummy bears we got (from the same store) were either pumped so full of sugar it's ridiculous or laced with something goooood, because we only had about a quarter cup of ice cream each and a few gummy bears and we were acting high for the rest of the time there. That's like, 3-4 hours straight of laughing, jumbled/mismatched conversation, and enjoying the softness of my coat.
It was some good ice cream though. And gummy bears.
Afterwards, Lillith went to the gym right next to the mall, Roe left, and I stayed around with Arkey until she got picked up. We ended up taking for another 30 mins-1 hr, which was really nice.
We talked about everything from life to love, and I ended up confessing that I had a massive crush on her last year. Then our conversation focused mainly on love and trusting with it, and the passage of time distancing relationships.
We talked about our current crushes, and made a deal:
If, by next year when -insert general school dance name here- came around, we were still crushing on the people we were, we would both take who we liked to that dance.
She would ask Roe, and I would ask Beth.
We went home, and that was that.
And I feel tethered.••••••
