Ew. Sorry I haven't updated since like March. College finals are next week. HS finals two weeks after that. Ugh. I hate school (not to sound cliche)
(The fight scenes will be jumped around- note that all of these scenes will be occurring either as one fight in ensuing, or as another has ended. Re-read the last chapter if you need a refresher as to what happened)
SOOOOO not edited btw.

Kendra vs Kaleesi
Nymph vs Siren
Sister vs Sister
There was so much to name their battle, one that had been going on for centuries, but nothing would be enough to display the true hatred both had for each other.
"Baby sister, look at you. Fallen again, chasing after another unrequited love. Why am I not surprised?" Kendra snarled, flinging a wave of blue fire at her sister.
Kaleesi scoffed, a bead of sweat above her bro as she inched back towards the churning river. "That should be my line. Look at you, Kendra, chasing after your little sister like she's some burden."
Kendra rage skyrocketed; "YOU ARE MY BURDEN. YOU ARE MY MISTAKE. You're the reason Poseidon won't let me go back home; you're the reason I'm stuck here to babysit you and clean up after your messes for the rest of eternity!"
Kaleesi startled at the new information and ceased her magic shield. "Poseidon won't let you back into the ocean?"
Kendra was bitter in her response as she advanced dangerously to her. "Forget the ocean. Any body of water is one I'm not allowed to inhabit."
And when her big sister was close enough, Kaleesi let out a devious chuckle that stretched unnaturally past her lips. "Let's find out what happens when you go into Poseidon's domain, shall we?"
An immobilizing spell was warming up on Kaleesi's hand and she delivered the full effect onto her sister as soon as Kendra reached out her hand. Kendra crumpled like soggy paper when her sister's hand made contact with her shoulder. Kaleesi's laugh was as wicked as her soul and as psychotic as her mind.
With a flick of her wrist, Kaleesi sent her sister back into the churning river, vicious like the white water rapids one Kendra was submerged. Her old ability to breathe underwater, from when she was a mermaid, was snatched from her. Kendra's lungs collapsed and her chest and muscles constricted painfully as the water around her seeming to be at volcanic temperature, she tried to claw to the surface by riding the current but the unexpected riptide thrashed her body around once she got close to the surface.
The immobilizing spell was fading quick, but not quick enough. Kendra had no air left, everything flying out in an anguished scream as the water switched from melting to freezing temperature. Black spots plagued her vision and as her own end came near, she couldn't help but think of Sicily, and all the mistakes she had made.
~ In Sicily ~
"Poseidon, please, you know Kaleesi- she's just having a rebellion." Kendra's voice bounced in the underwater stalagmite cave, like a dolphin's echolocation.
Poseidon slammed the butt of his gold trident, adorned in corals and draping moss, against the floor. "I've had enough of that wayward mermaid. If she wants to defy my orders to remain in the ocean, then she shall be exiled until she has the shame to come home and beg for forgiveness. In defying me she commits treason and jeopardizes her pod with her infatuation with the mortal man."
