Castor P.O.V

The flowers and cleaning supplies were shaking in my hands.

But nonetheless, I forced myself to walk down the makeshift path, gravel crunching under my shoes.

And then I stopped. Set down the cleaning products and the flowers. And got to work.

I scrubbed at the corners, digging out grime and dirt. I misted the wording with my multisurface cleaner, using my trusty rag to scrape at it gently. Usually I was prone to speed cleaning, but for this I wanted to take my time.

I moved on to the one next to it, giving it similar Castor Cleaning treatment until it sparkled.

And then, when I had exhausted myself, I leaned back on my haunches.

"I miss you." I whispered low. "I miss both of you. Life isn't the same with you. There isn't anyone to play goldfish with me, or someone to make fun of my intensive cleaning. That night, I didn't just lose my two best friends. I lost my siblings, my brother and my sister."

He pressed laid down the irises and poppies.

"I love you." Castor murmured. "And every moment I spend alive, I wish that our places were reversed. I had no reason to live. I lost Elena a long time ago. But you two still had so much to live for, to find your mates and have pups. I had nothing, still don't."

He looked up to the sky, cursing the day for being so beautiful at his time of mourning. After a moment, he stood and gathered his cleaning supplies.

"Goodbye Alric, Iris." He smiled sadly, turning on his heel as he walked away from their cleaned gravestones.
