A/N: Sorry I'm typing this so late :'( I've been busy but I just got a new tablet, which I'm typing this on right now, so I should be able to update sooner. There's just one big problem.... I have no WiFi where I live so I have to wait until I get to an internet connection to actually post this. I have WiFi at my high school, but today is Friday and I'm home sick (Which inspired this fanfiction) and next week is spring break so it may be awhile.
Again I'm so sorry I haven't been posting on this book. I've been working (very VERY slowly) on the second book in my EgoBang trilogy and now I've started a Septiplier fanfiction called Partners In Crime. It should be up by the time this is.
Anyways, please forgive me and now, ON WITH THE FANFICTION!Phil's POV:
Very carefully, I carried the mug full of hot chocolate up the stairs towards Dan's room. The warm chocolaty liquid had five marshmallows floating in it. There had been six but I couldn't help myself. I knocked on the bedroom door with my free hand. "Come in," said a hoarse voice on the other side of the door.
I turned the knob and stepped inside Dan's little bedroom. He was under his duvet, a box of tissues at his side. He looked so pale that it made me look African American. (NO OFFENCE TO ANY AFRICAN AMERICANS I'M SO SORRY) I smiled sadly at the ball of adorableness. His beautiful brown eyes turned to a bright amber as they rested on my face. "Hi," he croaked out. I walked over slowly and responded, "Hi baby boy." I could see his face turn a slight shade of pink at my little pet name I had for him. Either that or his fever was going up again.
He sat up and I handed him the mug of hot chocolate. He raised it to his mouth and took a sip. "Mmm," he moaned silently. I sat down on the bed beside him and gently stroked his hair as he drank his hot drink. I rested the back of my hand on his forehead. "You're burning up, baby," I whispered sweetly to him. He set down the now empty mug on his bedside table, swallowed what bit of hot chocolate was in his mouth, and said sarcastically in his rough voice, "No way. I had no idea. Good job, Sherlock, another mystery solved."
I chuckled and kissed his hot forehead. Dan raised one hand to wipe of his forehead and gently push my face away with the other. "You should get out of here I don't want you sick too," he said, smiling. He turned his head to the side and let out a weezy cough. I stroked his hair again then stood. "I'm gonna go get you some medicine. Maybe it will help you feel better."
I walked to the kitchen and found some of our cough and flu medicine. I poured it into the small dosage cup. It wasn't enough for the recommended amount. Wasn't even half. It was only about a quarter. Sighing, I carried it back up to Dan's room. I heard him coughing like crazy. The door was already open so I just walked in quickly to his side. I rubbed his back in large soft circles. His coughing ceased and he laid back down. I handed him the medicine and told him to drink it. He got it all down in one shallow. "Is that all we have," he asked, not very hopefully. I nodded, with an apologetic look. "Yeah. You almost cleaned us out last time you were sick." I kissed his forehead again. Once again, Dan pushed me away. "Phil. Go on. You'll get sick," he whispered.
I pulled up the duvet and crawled I beside him. Dan looked aggravated for a second so I gave him a small smile. Sighing, Dan cuddled into my arms, his face nuzzled against my bare chest as I didn't have on a shirt. From what skin that was touching me, I could tell his body was freezing cold. I carefully drew circles on his back through his shirt with my hands. "You're warm," Dan whispered, almost almost out of audio. I grinned at his random comment. "And you're a little popsicle," I whispered back, though I didn't know if he had heard me or not.
"Phil," Dan started again after a few minutes of silence, looking up at my face. I took one finger and pressed it to his lips. "Shh," I shushed him. I knew he was going to try to make me leave because he didn't want to get me sick. "I know I might get sick," I whispered, running my thumb across his bottom lip. I carefully grabbed his chin and kissed his mouth so gently. I pulled back and whispered, "But I'd love to get sick because of you." Dan smiled and rested his head on my chest again. I rubbed his back with one hand and soothed his hair with the other. "And I'm sorry we don't have any more medicine," I continued.
"It's alright. You know what they say," he said.
"What's that?"
I felt him smile as he spoke. "Sleep and cuddles are the best medicine."
I held him a little tighter, carefully not to hurt him. I kissed the top of his head. "I can't argue with you there my baby boy."
I waited until he was asleep to pull myself out of his grasp. I looked at the clock to see that it was 2 in the morning. We'd been laying there for 4 hours. I tiptoed across the floor to the door. Right as I was about to grab the knob, I heard Dan shuffle. "Phil," he whispered in his raspy voice. "Don't leave me." I turned back to see Dan with his eyes shut. He seemed asleep, who know he might have been. I laid back down next to him and he immediately cuddled up to my chest. I kissed the top of his head with many missed then whispered in his ear, "I'll never leave you my precious little baby."
I soon fell asleep with my sick widdle baby latched onto my warm pale chest.
