I woke up early the next day. My usual reporting time at office was 9:30 AM. Two hours earlier which meant 7:30 AM. I woke up at 10:45 AM.
I gave a quick 'hi' to the receptionist and hurried to my office floor. I reached office to find that Chief Editor wasn't there.
My joy knew no bounds. Since I was the assistant I was supposed to take over. But there was another surprise for me, the Chief Editor had left a message for his blonde girl. Steve had some other girl with him in the club.
Well, that didn't concern me.
Anyway, this blonde chick was supposedly the Chief Editor for the day. She also looked like she was a teenager. With brains like her, a beggar could've been the Chief Editor.
But I reminded the girl of a rule Hashé has, only the Assistant Editor takes over in the Chief Editor's absence. With those merciful words, I let her go crying. The Chief would be mad at me, but at that moment, I didn't really care.
