"Riley, are you okay?" Cameron asked. I held my hip and rested against the hood of our car. "Do you want to go home?" Sage asked. I threw my stuff in the backseat and grabbed my set of keys, starting the car. "I'm gonna go home, you can stay here with Cameron, I'll pick you up later." I tried to smile, giving her a hug before I hopped into the driver's side. I wasn't trying to be a bitch, but I just wanted to be alone.

As I pulled into the driveway, I grabbed my bag and shut the engine off, climbing out of the car. Inside the house, I dragged myself up the steps and pushed open the wooden door to my bedroom. I clicked on Netflix and tiptoed into the bathroom to take off my makeup, it was dried on to my cheeks.

"Riley?" I heard from outside the bathroom. I jumped and ran to the other side of the room, grabbing the closest thing to a weapon. "Who the fuck is it?" I screamed, fearful it was t
an intruder that wanted to hurt me. Out came Kian, his eyes red and puffy, making me drop the object in my hand. I pushed past his lengthy body in the hallway and jumped on my bed, curling into a ball, tears welting down my cheeks.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, hiding my face into my sleeve. He slowly, but surely, took my hand and knelt down beside me on the bed. "I think we need to talk." He frowned, intertwining our fingers. I sat up and wiped the salty tears from the bottom half of my face, turning towards Kian. "Why should we talk? We're just happy friends, right?" I snapped. He furrowed his eyebrows together in frustration. "Happy friends? Riley, I have not been able to rest or sleep because I have missed you so much. And I know you feel the same too, please stop denying it." He whispered.

"Riley, I love you." My heart sank at the last part of his sentence. While his hand was placed in mine, I took the opportunity and pulled him close, closing the gap between us as I locked lips with him. It felt warm and right, like I was waiting to do that for a while. "I'll go now, thank you." Kian frowned, pulling himself off the bed. I pulled his hand back and stood up next to him, "You wanna go pick Sage up with me?" I asked. Kian grabbed ahold of my waist and kissed my cheek, "I'd be honored."

Sage and Cameron sat on the parking lot curb, her in his lap. "Get in losers!" I yelled out the window, flashing the two a smile. "Who's in the car?" Cameron asked, sliding in after sage. Kian smiled and waved, turning around so he could hug cameron. "Oh, I see." Cameron smiled, looking down at our intertwined fingers.

"When did this happen?" Sage asked, peering her head between our seats. "It's really complicated." I looked over into kian's eyes. Sage patted Kian's back and rested her arm on my shoulder, "Welcome back Loser." She giggled.
