Chapter 14: It's Uncanny

So we were going to Croatia. This should be fun. My mum was going to get the shock of her life. I asked Elle about my mum, she doesn't know much about her. She said that she did research on her before she adopted me and nothing came up, they just seemed like the perfect people to look after me until the time was right. Apparently my parents' people paid them to look after me, to have the same name and so on. Everything from childhood then was fake, nothing was real, I gathered that much about my own life. I hadn't really spoken to Cate yet about the interrogation, but I bet Elle told her I saw everything, I shouldn't judge really, all I can think about is what if I am going to have to murder my own adoptive mother. That would be a turn up for the books. Vivienne must know something though, I mean they didn't pay her for nothing, she must have asked questions, she's that kind of person. Duncan however is a moron, not clever or effective. He might surprise me. Doubt it though. One question that needed to be asked was how were we going to get to Croatia undetected?

Remember the phone call me and Lisa had the other day? Well she texted back saying she will ring back in a few days, she needed to do something. I've had enough of people saying that now, I mean they might as well tell me I've got good intuition I am going to find out eventually. It had been 3 days since I had my cast off and I had spoken to my mum. In those three days, not much happened apart from me and Cate having a little argument and finding more details of things in the folders. Some things I didn't understand, they were either in scientific language or in Jason Bourne language. Mitty had been recruited as a full time Olivia Bloom Power Ranger, I mean the more things happen, the more recruits join us. He seems like an alright guy though.

I was sitting on the balcony overlooking the garden and the sea, what an amazing view this place has, I wonder what Croatia is going to be like, I don't remember much. You would think that I am going on holiday there or something, its not as if I can go off and build sand castles on the beach without getting shot at, obviously that is sarcasm, I don't build sandcastles. Me and Cate had an argument about being together in general. I told her Elle knew, she understood that, but I think she wants something from me, what I don't know, but we haven't had sex yet. I wanted to though. I love her. That seems insane to say, its only been a few months since I've known her but yet I have fallen so deep in her trap.

"Liv?" I turned to see Cate standing there, she came to sit next to me on the chair.

"We should talk huh?" I said, in quite an aggressive tone, but not meaning to. She nodded.

"Elle told me you were in the interrogation room" I nodded and she continued, "I didn't want you to see that but that is my job Liv, that's what I have been trained to do".

"I am not mad at you, I was just a little shocked by the situation" I answered.

"I got so mad because he was going to hurt you, he was going to make people hurt you. I love you Olivia, I don't want anybody to hurt you" she said.

"I love you" and I leant in and kissed her and now being able to make any move I wanted, I straddled her as she fell back onto the chair.

"Bet that feels good" she whispered groping my leg, I smiled and started to kiss her neck, she moaned and I carried on. I am not having sex on the balcony though, that's not happening. She placed her hands on my back under my top, her hands were cold, but they felt good on my skin. I pulled away, but still straddling her.
