On Saterday night I talk to Sloan about getting her brother out of her house tomorrow. " I can call the cops if you want or you could get your uncles help."
" I don't want the cops involved. I also can't ask my God dad for help. My God dad is one of the key people in the mob. He hides out here so he won't get caught. If I go to him about it he will look at it as my brother hurting my God dad's family. Yes my brother is blood but my kids and I are closer to my God dad. Rather I'm actually my God dad's blood or not he would put a hit out on my brother."
" Yeah your right about not going to you God dad but why can't I call the cops?"
" Because my family and the cops don't get along."
" Ok well please figure something out."
She nods. There is a knock on our hotel door. Zane opens the door. " Hey Lathen did Gracen call you?" Keegan says.

Oh shit what is my cousin doing here? I hope he isn't in uniform. Sloan and I walk out holding hands. Of course he is in uniform. I whisper to Sloan, " I swear I didn't call him."
She nods believing me. She doesn't know that Lathen is my cousin though.
" No why would she of? Was she the one assaulted?" Lathen says.
" No I wasn't assaulted but what are you doing here?"
He walks up to me and gives me a hug. " Well the hotel calls us whenever someone who they think has been assaulted checks in. The reason it took so long for me to come though is that no one from the last two shifts called. A lady on shift now called. Now first who in this room may look like they have been assualted? Second who is this standing next to you little cousin?"
" No one has been assaulted and this is my girlfriend Sloan "
" Wait I thought I had seen you before. Step away from my cousin! It hasn't been that long since you got out. Gracen the chief wouldn't be happy to know that his blood is dating a criminal."
I look at Sloan. She takes a few steps away from me like he said to do.
" Officer I don't want any trouble."
" Well that must be hard for you since that is your middle name. Now Gracen come with me "
I hug Sloan bye. I walk up to Keegan and Zane to hug them. I whisper for them to watch over my kids and Sloan. They nod. I walk outside with my cousin. We both get in the front of his patrol car. He starts to drive.
" Why the hell are you with that girl? She has two kids."
" I know she has two babies. I don't care though."
" She had them in juvi did she tell you that?"
" No but I still don't care."
" She went to juvi for shop lifting."
" Ok that was in the past."
" She has been arrested two other times and charged for those two also. The first time she sent a kid to the hospital and the second time she broke into a house to have a party where there was drugs and alchole. She is dangerous. Also we have a felling that she has ties to the mob. You need to stay away from her or else I will tell your dad. Do you understand?"
" Why don't you act like my cousin instead of ny dad's little lap dog for once."
" Because danmit Gracen I love and care about you! You need to do as I say."
" Ok whatever."
He pulls uo to my house and I get out. Before I close the door he says, " I'm being for real Gracen."
After the door close I walk inside.
I text Sloan and tell her who my dad is. She doesn't text me back. I hope she is ok.
