What Are We?

Chapter 4

I was really excited for tonight's party. Finally, After such a long time we all will be hanging out together. I was in my living room waiting for jordan to come and pick me up. I was wearing a simple black button up, sleeve-less shirt and a grey zig-zag lined skirt which ends near my mid thigh, with a peach purse. My hair was done in a messy pony tail. I would normally wear a shirt with cardigan and jeans, But Nancy had forced me to wear a skirt for some reason.

I was just scorlling through my instagram feed, when I heard a car horn, and someone scream my name.
And I got to know it was jordan. I said my mom that jordan is here to pick me up for the party, and started running towards the door. Because I was already late.
I heard her say something but I was too excited to hear it clearly.

As I sat inside the car and looked over at jordan, who was already grinning at me.
"What are you waiting for? Arent we already late?" I asked joking-ly.

"You. You are late. Not me." He replied with a smirk, and started driving. I didnt reply to that, because well, It was actually true. He came back, only to pick me up.

"You know, you are lucky today that I am in a good mood." He smugly said.

"Oh yeah? What if your mood was not so good today?" I replied looking at his direction.

"Well you know, You would be stuck in your house.' crying' and saying 'ohmygod I missed the party they are having all the fun boo hoo'" He mimicked me.

I looked at him in disbelieve. " I Do Not cry when I miss anything. And I dont even say 'boo hoo I missed it'. I said mimicking his sentence

He laughed and shaked his head. "Awh, I missed our conversation so much." he sighed, looking at me and back to the road.

"I missed You." I said, high-lighting the word 'you' in it. He chuckled and mumbled 'missed you too'. I smiled at his reply.

While I was lost in my own thoughts, I didnt realise we've already reached our destination. Jordan parked his car, and we both climbed out of it and started to walk towards the club.

"I didnt know a person would change in just a week." Jordan said.

"What do you mean?" I asked a bit confused.

"Look at you. Started wearing skirts and all. Where is the old ' I only wear jeans' perry?" He asked pouting.

I hit him on the arm lightly. " I still wear jeans, okay. Its just because of nancy. She forced me to wear a skirt."

he started rubbing his arm and making a hurtful expression. "You are abusing me!"

I laughed looking at his expression.

"By the way you look good In skirts you know. You should wear them often." He said smirking.

"You think?" I asked playfully.

"Yea" He said, Giving me his full smile.

"Thank you." I said smiling back at him.

We entered inside the club, the blasting music hit my ears. And alot of wild dancing people came into view.

As we got into the club, I caught jordan's arm and started following him, because obviously I dont want to get lost in between all those wild teenagers dancing on the floor.

After following him for what seemed like 5 minutes, we finally reached a lounge, it was little less crowded in here.

I spotted Nancy and Connor and they were smiling at us already. I returned back my smile.

I went to nancy and hugged her and did the same with connor. Jordan went and sat beside connor.

"Care to explain why were you late?" Nancy said with a raised eyebrow.

"You already know why I was late. Why do I need to explain?" I stated. Although I didnt say her about me sleeping. She already knew it. I mean who stays at their house, awake and doesn't open their front door ? ... I do it sometimes. (Dont judge me.)

"Anyways, chuck this topic. We came here to spend some time together and have some fun." Nancy said.

"Drinks anyone?" Connor asked.

We all grabbed our drinks and Jordan started to brag about the city where he went last week.

"It was a really beautiful place, Trust me. We all should go over there sometime." Jordan said.

"Yea, Its a good idea. It'll be fun." Connor said.

"How about this up coming spring break?" I asked.

"That will be good. I mean we all are going to stay in our houses and do nothing. So why not have some fun?" Nancy said winking.

"Spring break it is." Jordan said.

"Cheers to our up coming plan." Connor said joking-ly bringing his glass in mid air.

We all laughed at it and clinked our glasses and chugged down our drinks.

"To the dance floor!" Connor said, Taking jordan and nancy's hand and dragging them with him. Nancy pulled me with her.
We all were looking like maniacs, laughing and running towards the dance floor.

Lights were flashing, Music was blasting. The drinks already started their effect, getting all dizzy and acting a little crazy.
We all were lost in our little world like there is no one else around us. The night seemed longer then usual.
