We stayed up quite late last night and it was too dark for Ailya and Jake to walk back. They just stayed in our cabin. I woke up to Ailya and Jake noisily chit-chatting in the living room.
"No will you just listen to the goddamn question?"
"Okay whatever."
"The question is, boxers or briefs?"
"What the fuck?"
"Now will you just ANSWER the goddamn question?" Her voice rises.
"Boxers." Jake rolls his eyes.
"American apparel underwear." Luke adds.
"Calvin Klein." I walk in.
"I was asKING JAKE!" Ailya shouts. Then laughs.
"Why do you even need to know?" Luke shakes his head.
"Michael and I have traditions."
"Whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean." Jake responds.
Michael and Ashton walk in.
"This is like some weird chapter from a book." Luke raises an eyebrow.
"Nah I'd say more like a fanfiction." Ailya responds
"I'm here for my girlfriend." Michael speaks up,"Let's go Luke."
"Well I'll just go with my boyfriend." Ailya walks over to me,"Let's go Jamie."
We all walk outside and we go and sit on the dock. It was a beautiful day. Michael stands up and Ailya kicks him into the water. And suddenly it all turns into a huge water fight. When we were all soaked and laughing, lying on the dock, Ailya says something.
"Where's Kayla?" She sits straight up.
"Oh hell no." Michael stands up. We jog after him.
"Do you think she perhaps left a message?"
We go into her and Jake and Ashton's cabin to find a note on the table.
Erin is in trouble. All I'm saying.
"What does it mean?" Jake shakes his head.
"It means we are on a mission. We're on our way." Michael nods.
"Maybe we need to go and find them first."
"Shut the fuck up Luke."
And that is how an overwhelming experience started.
