Haley's P.O.V.

"Who are you?" My voice was shaky but soft

He was African American, wearing a light brown jacket. Carrying a backpack and a stick? Great choice of weapon I thought. But I'm sure he makes good use of it "Morgan" He answered

I stayed my ground and nodded at him slowly "Haley, sorry you had to see that" I said directing to the fact that I plunged the walked over a dozen times

"Looks like you had some anger you needed to get out"

"Just been through a lot" I simply said. I turned back from looking at the walker and looked at Morgan. He looked decently almost clean. Better then what I looked like right now "Do you have a camp?"

He shook his head "No"

"I do. Rick will- I mean Deanna will take you in" When I said Rick's name his expressions changed completely

"Rick?"

I nodded "Grimes. In all honestly he's the big reason why I'm still alive"

He let out a soft chuckle "I cannot believe he's still alive"

"You know Rick?" I asked surprised

He nodded "I helped him, with shelter when this all began" I stayed silent. I was surprised, I mean if he doesn't have a camp, how has he lasted this long? "What are you doing out here by yourself?"

"I was with my boyfriend and a friend. Savaging any supplies" I love saying that word, boyfriend. Especially since that man is Daryl

"And what happened?" He asked

"They went in that direction" I said pointing to where I came from "And plus like you said I had anger I needed to take out. Wanted to do it alone"

He whispered something I couldn't hear "What?" I asked "Nothing, we should find them" He began to walk back to the direction where Daryl and Aaron went.

I began to walk next to him "How did you manage to survive this long? Weren't you with anyone?"

"My son" Was all he responded to the two questions I asked

"What happened?" Stupid question. I shouldn't asked, because I already know

"He didn't make it this far" He said

"I'm sorry" I softly said "I lost my child too" I hung my head down "I lost him or her before they were ever born"

We kept walking and I could see he was now looking at me "I'm sorry" I could feel the sorrow in his voice. We kept walking in the woods then in the field for quite some time. Then I saw it from a distance, a building

-

Daryl took his last smoke and nodded "Alright. On three" The walkers were surrounding the car. He gripped the knife firmly "1... 2..." Before he could say three there was a thud on the window where Aaron was. Small amount of blood splattered. The door swung open. Someone else was there, to help he hoped

-

I swung my arm that had my knife and plunged it into the walkers head. I pushed another that was coming towards me. Aaron and Daryl came out and we all fought. Aaron was waiting on the other side of the fence while we all ran towards him. We made it across and closed the gate. Daryl pulled me into a hug

"You 'aight?" He asked

I nodded as I had my hand on his back. Aaron stood near us while Morgan stood in front of us. Aaron put his hands up and chuckled "That was... Oh... Thank you"

Morgan nodded as he ran his hands up and down his weapon "I'm Aaron, this is Daryl" Aaron gestured to him

He didn't bother to introduce me considering I helped Morgan save them both. Morgan turned to Daryl and I "Morgan"

"Why?" Daryl asked looking at Morgan

"Why?" Morgan asked "Because all life is precious Daryl" They both just stared at each other

Morgan's pretty much a stranger, I could see the look on Daryl's face. It's understandable "Whoever set that trap, they're coming" Aaron said "But I have good news. We do. We have a community not too far from here. Walls, electricity, it's safe. If you'd like to come join us" Daryl looked at Aaron then Morgan and have a nod

"I thank you" Morgan said interrupting "But I'm on my way somewhere. Fact is, I'm lost so" Morgan grabbed a map from his jacket pocket and handed it to Daryl "If you could tell me where we are"

Daryl grabbed the map and gave Morgan a glance before he looked back down at it. I looked beside Daryl's shoulder to see something written on the map Sorry, I was an asshole. Come to Washington. The new world's gonna need Rick Grimes. It read on the map, Rick's name was underlined. Daryl looked up at Morgan then down at the map a couple times. I nudged Daryl's shoulder as he turned to look at me. I gave him a slight nod

"Are you sure you have somewhere to go? I mean the community we have is... It's good" Aaron said

Morgan was looking at us both "Actually sure" He paused "Thank you"

We began to walk with Aaron leading the way followed by Morgan. Daryl gave the map to Morgan before we left. He grabbed my hand and gave it a tight squeeze as we left. We kept walking throughout the woods "What happened when you left?" He asked

I hadn't realized I was still covered in blood, and a slight case of walker guts "I... Uh... Put up a fight with a walker. Afterwards I met Morgan in the woods. He knows Rick"

He gave a slight nod "I'm sorry I left it's just.." He gave another tight squeeze "It's 'aight. I know you can handle yourself out here. It's just I was worried. You haven't been out here since..." He trailed off

"I know" I said softly. There were a few walkers along the way that Morgan took care of "Do you trust 'em?"

I looked at him to notice he was looking at Morgan "No" I simply answered "But he knows Rick. He's by himself, has been. He lost his son. He seems decent"

"Yea, or maybe he seems decent. But he really isn't"

"There are still good people in this world Daryl"

I know he was skeptical. Morgan's a stranger, we don't know him. But he seemed wise. He can't be a bad person. I hadn't noticed but the sky was already dark. We were close to our home. Once we got there we went inside. What is we made a mistake in bringing him here? We walked closer to the chatter that was going on. Then we heard a gunshot then a scream. Shit, what now?
