Daryl's P.O.V.

My hand gripped on the handle of the bike. I moved closer to the car "Hey" I called out "We gone five miles out yet?"

"Give or take some yardage" Abraham said "You got a reason for asking?"

"Next intersection, we're gonna spin around and go back" I said

"The plan is to go 15 more" Sasha said looking at me

"Yea I'm gonna change that, fives gonna have to work" I yelled

"The magic numbers 20. That's the mission" Abraham said "That's making sure they're off munching on infirm raccoons the rest of their undead lives instead of any of us"

I kept looking at the road then back at them

"You wanna go we can't stop you" Sasha said "But without you they can stop us"

Damn, she's gotta point I quickly thought. My eyes moved back to the road. I looked back at them one more time before I looked forward. We came across a sign on the side. Alexandria. I gripped my hands around the handles. I can't do it. I gotta go back for her "Nah I got faith in ya" That was the last thing I said to them before I sped up and began to go faster

I heard them yelling after me but I ignored them. I couldn't do it, I just couldn't. Haley means to much to me. My bike roared as I sped even more

I was on my own. Driving for quite some time. The wind completely threw back my hair. I kept driving when I heard the radio come on "Daryl?" Rick called out

I grabbed the radio with one of my hands "I'm here" I responded

"Won't be long now. They're almost here. I'll have them going your way again"

"How about that Daryl?" Sasha came on "He's gonna be coming our way"

I rolled my eyes but kept driving.

"There's gunfire coming from back home. We gotta sit with it and hope they can handle it. I think they can, they have to. We keep going forward for them. Can't turn back 'cause we're afraid" Rick preached

"We ain't afraid" Abraham responded

"This is for them" Rick came back "Going back now before its done. That'd be for us. The herd has to be almost here"

I kept quiet. I could hear the gunfire, I'm just praying Haley is okay. Just then I heard gunfire coming from the radio. I quickly took my hand off the handle and put it on the radio "Rick" I called out "Rick" When there was silence I sped up. After a couple seconds I pressed on the brake and my bike came to a squeal

I grabbed the radio "Rick" I called out. There was only the static hissing "Rick" I called out again. After he didn't answer I hung my head down. I looked back and panted. I have to go back for Haley, but Rick's in trouble. I turned on the bike again and sped off. This time going faster. I passed the open field and kept going, no hesitation

Haley cleaned all she could in her bathroom before she walked out. She couldn't stay in that house when it felt so empty. She walked down the road passing the blood that was stained into the ground. She noticed Spencer walking down the steps from his house

"How's Deanna?" Haley asked

"Shaken up, but she's okay" He said trying to smile

Haley nodded "Good" She walked passed him and she began to walk to one of the towers, she didn't have a gun yet she didn't feel she needed one. She climbed to the top and looked out. Daryl. Was the only thing on her mind. She wondered if he was okay. Then again if he wasn't, she would've known. She would've felt it. She continued to stare out into the distance. She needed a sign, to know he was okay

I came at a pass way and caught up to Sasha and Abraham. I pulled in and began to ride in front of them. I slowed down back to where I was before. This is the only way to save Haley, lead these walkers away from her, from our home

Haley's P.O.V.

After staying in the tower for so long I climbed down and began walking around. Then I saw Michonne, she was back. She was talking to Maggie and Rosita. I went along with some people when we heard yelling. Michonne opened the gate and Rick came running in. My eyes widen when I saw a herd of walkers behind him. After they closed the gate he was panting

"Rick. You okay?" I asked

He was bent down to his knees nodding. Everyone who left was back, most of them. Some didn't, Daryl wasn't back. Afterwards Rick was talking to the others in the community. I approached him as he continued to speak his lecture "Daryl, Abraham, Sasha, they have vehicles. They're gonna lead 'em away just like the others. And Glenn and Nicholas are gonna walk back through the front gate after. They know what their doing and we know what we need to do"

Before I could listen to more I turned around and walked away, now that I didn't want to listen to him. I couldn't. I knew I should've done it. I should've gone with him. I walked into our house and made my way to our room. I sat on the bed and exhaled. I ran my hands through my face and chuckled. It turned into a quiet sob not soon after. I wanted him here, I needed him here. I know it's selfish but still. He is my boyfriend, someone I can't live without. I closed my eyes thinking about everything we've been through. How we've survived this far, this can't be it. We didn't have our final goodbye...
