That night rolled by slowly for Lily. Many dreams, no night mares flooded her head scaring her half to death.

The most terrifying part about it all was that the nightmares were really memories. Memories of her family and lots of pain. They included her past life before the training and the true friends she has made

Two times that night she snuck out of her dark bunk and walked like a zombie to the bathroom. She pulled out a small sliver blade from her pocket and stared at how it sparkles in the moon light from the window. Slowly and carefully she would slid the silver blade down her pale arm. She would watch crimson red gush it of her bare arm and slowly drip to the cold tile floor. It relived the pain but only for a short amount of time.

When she returned to her cold bed, she tried to think of happy thoughts, but the only thing that kept coming to her mind was the oddest thing.. I wonder what the corporal is doing right now.

(Levi's POV)

I sat at my desk in the dark with only a bit of light coming from the moon outside my window. I thought to myself 'God this is a lot of paperwork.'

I couldn't get my mind on the topic of finishing this paper work so I pushed it aside and grabbed my black tea and took a sip. The warm liquid seemed to bring me a bit of happiness, but it wouldn't last long, I knew that by now.

The moon shines thought my window and lit up the room just enough to see the features. Dark wood covered that floors and walls. In front of the window was my paper filled desk and across from that on the other side of that room was a large book shelf. I was a pretty boring room but the simpler it was the easier it was to keep clean.

I opened the window all the way and leaned up against the frame. A light gust of wind entered the room and a chill ran though my body. I looked at the baron field and dark stable afar form the headcounters. It was a peaceful and quiet night which is very rare here. Though there was one thing strange about it . It was me.

My mind was spinning and I couldn't get my mind off of the strange girl from the underground, Lily was it? Sure, that sounds about right. I just need to know her story, what was so hard in her life that she couldn't find the words to explain it? Why was it so horrible? These questions ran around in my head and wouldn't leave. Another thing that I couldn't stop thinking about was that we are going to make her life even worst with the horrors of the world outside the walls. I don't think I could bare to see her suffer or in more pain. Wait!?!? Why should I care about her she is just another brat joining the Scouts, right?
